Q. If India and Pakistan have had good relations and open borders, who would be at loss?
If India and Pakistan have had good relations, it means, religion would not have been a criteria for partition. Then Muslims would not mind sharing jokes and cartoons on Prophet like Amir Khan makes PK on Hindu Gods. Then religion would have been a personal matter. Then conversion would not be agenda of any Zakir Naik or Israr Ahmed. Then Pakistanis would not have to declare in passport that they hate Ahmadiyyas.
If that happened, then India and Pakistan would have been one single country – the original country called Bharat. And everyone would win. Only Jihadis would be at loss.
But if we open borders without eliminating fundamentalism, then everyone except Jihadis would be at loss. India would be at greater loss because by the time they realize that Jihadis who are killing and raping do not listen to you when you say “Terror has no religion”, repeat of Ghazni and Ghori attacks would have happened.
Seventy years ago, a holocaust happened in name of partition. Unless the cause of that partition is removed, we must remember that the population three times now, proportion of Jihadis is ten times, and weapons + social media to help Jihadis is thousand times more effective. So damage would be unimaginable. Don’t judge a crocodile by kindness in his eyes. Judge him by strength of your skull, and his jaws.
