Q. How difficult would it be for an Indian Christian girl if she gets to marry a Muslim guy from Pakistan?
A. Difficulties will begin after marriage. A Muslim husband will have rights to marry up to 4 times, and keep as many extra-marital relations. A Muslim wife will have rights only to extent husband allows. Wife cannot deny sex if husband wants. And divorce will be super-simple. At will of husband. Wife has to go through a complex process and leave destiny on will of husband and community. He can restrict your dressing, beauty, hobbies, travel, company etc.
Muslim society suffers the most in unequal rights for men and women. So if you indeed want to marry the guy, and he loves you a lot, then both of you should convert to a non-Muslim faith and then marry. Or marry as per any other law that makes Muslim Sharia Law or Personal Law null and void.
And even after that, do not think of going to Pakistan. London is safe. Once in Pakistan, you do not know what will happen. Both legally and illegally.
There are cases where husband divorced wife in drunk state by saying talaq three times. Later when he realized, it was too late. Now only way he can remarry the wife is by asking some of his friend to marry the divorced wife, have sex with her and give proof of sex (this is mandatory as per Islamic law), and then marry again.
So wife is at mercy of husband – for everything. Sometimes law tries to intervene, but community and Jihadi pressures overrule everything.
If the guy loves you, he must agree to guarantee you equal rights in all situations. Since this is not possible by being a Muslim, he must prove his love by becoming a Christian. Or both of you can convert to some other religion – Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism officially – to maintain equality. And then marry.
If he is reluctant, there is high chance of it being a honey trap – called Love Jihad. There are innumerable cases of Love Jihad in India and you may be next victim.
So marry him who loves you more than stupid anti-woman laws and traditions. Else, not worth it.
