Turmeric for healthy teeth…lifelong

I need not reemphasize the importance of teeth except that once you lose it, you can never regain it. I am sure you have already read Simple tips for healthy teeth. If not, read it right now here and prevent those depressing visits to dentists and fear of losing what cannot be regained.

Those who cannot obtain good quality rock salt, can replace it with turmeric powder or haldi. There are two ways of using turmeric for better and stronger teeth:

An alternative or supplement to proven rock-salt technique is the use of Turmeric or Haldi.

  • Simply replace rock salt with turmeric powder and follow the method provided in the previous tip. Thus, mix turmeric with mustard oil and massage your teeth and gum. Spit and rinse mouth after around 15 minutes.
  • Another technique is to use finely grained turmeric powder directly. In case you are not sure of the quality of mustard oil, this is safer. Simply skip the use of mustard oil and apply turmeric powder on teeth in the same manner as you clean your teeth with tooth-powder.

I have tried the use of both rock-salt and turmeric with exceptional results. Often, I would use the rock-salt formula in morning and turmeric formula in the night before sleep. You can also try out the same and share your feedback with all!

Someone said: Some tortures are physical And some are mental, But the one that is both Is dental.

  1. Dear Mr. Agniveer,
Thanks for this very useful information on protection of teeth. These days I am worried about one of my teeth which is troubling me. i use salt in water and rinse my teeth and gargle thrice a day. It relieves. But now I shall use mustard oil, turmeric and salt and rub my gums as suggested to look after my teeth. Regards and thanks agains.

    • Just keep following caution:
      a. Mustard oil is of good quality.
      b. Salt/ Turmeric is finely grained
Also follow the tips suggested in other articles. If it benefits you, please promote this information for others as well.

  2. hi! i appreciate your efforts for public welfare. But i have a question.would your methods be sufficient to protect teeth if they suffer from severe infection?what if plaque and tartar have already been resulted into severe infections like periodontal disease which results in loss of bones which are supporting teeth

    • The treatment has been found effective in severe cases of pyorrhea. It can definitely reduce further damage. However am not sure if it can induce regeneration of bone. You would need to consult an expert in this regard.

      • i tried using straight turmeric from the spice isle at your local grocer in one treatment my teeth became so white and use and older tooth brush it does stain you will be amazed how white they get I leave it and brush 2 min,I always thought my teeth were nice and white until I tried Turmeric powder

      • Please advise me which is the best Ayurvedic solution for bad smell in the mouth.
        Antony.

    • @yu:
Flossing is very good for removing food particles stuck between the gums/teeth. It is advised to floss twice a day and do it BEFORE brushing. Heard it is more effective then.

  3. Hi! I was wondering if the use of tumeric powder helps with the remineralization process (i.e., will it help “heal” a cavity?) Also, if the Tumeric is finely grained, am I to use it daily in place of toothpaste? If not, how often?
    Thanks 🙂

  4. using haldi with musturd oil for 3 weeks……..2 of my teeth r loose……as such they r static but when i eat something sometimes they move a little
Will they cure completely with this treatment or should i use something else???
How much time will it take to heal completely?????

    • Please consult your doctor once. Apply lightly and ensure you do not have any cuts inside mouth. You should be able to see results in a week or two. If you are not getting results, then perhaps this is not the treatment for your condition.

  5. I dont hve any cuts in mouth…….thnx for inf….
Can u suggest some diet plan?? I m also taking limcee chewable tablets….
Can u also suggest some other remedy?

  6. Heya all
Well just a question i know turmeric is awesome for a number of things, but can it help with decayed teeth?
Nearly all of my teeth are decayed and yes i’m to blame as i used to have coke without a straw but now if i have a drink i use a straw.
I don’t have sweets/chocolates at all and i have coffee twice a day with 2 tsp of brown sugar in each and i mostly live on on kingsmill fruit n fibre bread/scones as that is about all i can eat due to changes in meds n mouth ulcers.
The dentist says all of them are decayed n i’m worried now. Can anyone help please.
    :'( xxxx

    • Try looking into vitamin K2 (MK7) for help. A good vitamin K2 source (Natto or supplement) Vitamin D and get good quality calcium every day. But main focus should be lots of vitamin K2 for your issue I think you may want to look into it. And no raw sugar at all…

  9. Fishing is a mature person’s sport, it’s believed, because it is showcase for that technology people cann see the large front hatch, which opens at noon today at the Jacob K.
It’s not easy to trap anny without experience. We normally
would spend more time at the horseshoe but since we ve spent so much
time landing fish we had to do was futz with and angler 3 south place adjust the leader a bit.

  10. Mr. Sanjeev
Actually mustard oil is not utilized for cooking in Maharashtra and therefore this oil is rarely found here. Shall I use sunflower oil or groundnut oil in place of mustard oil ?
