  • Namaste Agniveer,

Is it possible to record these sessions (vedio) and upload to youtube and provide links here. It may not be an interactive sessions for others who see it, but definitely it would be an add on to the knowledge who wish to gain knowledge.

What’s your thinking on this?. Is it in the line of Veda? Please express your views on this.

    • Ram jee,

Before I begin, we must understand that Sanskrit is one such language whose multiple implications can be taken based on context & experience.

That is made by Adi Shankaracharya who was one of best Yogi ever known. Literal meaning of that cannot be taken. If Guru is considered one who imparts knowledge, then by that logic – All are Gurus and all are students. That simply confuses. At the time of Shankaracharya, Guru meant – the awakening from darkness to light. Modern day Gurus are mostly fraud. Above verse does not apply to a fraud Guru. That’s why Shankaracharya says – श्री गुरुवे नम:. श्री indicates respectful. Only literal meaning won’t help here. Some spiritual inclination is mandatory.

      • Now, coming to implications: This speaks about the steps. First step is Brahma — creator. The desire to learn must be created first. Next is Vishnu — protector. If you have the desire, you must find the right medium to clear your doubts. Final step is Shiv — destroyer. All the doubts are destroyed consequently. Do you notice, Shiv is given special emphasis and said – देवो महेश्वर:? Scholars say that Shankaracharya was a Shaiva so he said that. NO – logic isn’t that simple, but very clear if considered spiritually. If doubts aren’t destroyed, then that shows that medium chosen is wrong. So, Shiv step is crucial and hence word महेश्वर: is used. Then he says साक्षात्परब्रह्म. English word Self derives from Latin word Seset which comes from Sanskrit word साक्षात् | In the beginning, humans are self centered. Slowly that स्वार्थ changes to परमार्थ। This is nothing but what a spiritual scholar said – प्याला मैखुदी का छोड़ प्याला बेखुदी का पी। … Advaita is most misunderstood these days. The main purpose of introducing it was this: Don’t consider materialistic approach the goal and develop spiritually too. You aren’t the body but the spirit whose goal is to achieve liberation by uniting with almighty.

So, Shankaracharya said – Guru is step of uniting self with GOD. Shankaracharya thus respects that process. It does not contradict Vedas. RigVeda 1.164.39 उत्तरार्ध says – He who does not know almighty, what good can Vedas do to him and if he knows that, he merges with that. Guru is praised in Vedas too but that Guru is the desire to get rid of darkness not a man. This statement is absurd if Guru is considered a man. Doctor gives us medicine but what will he do if we don’t take it? Similarly, we know truth but don’t act accordingly. What good can human Guru do? A human Guru can only monitor us if we surrender ourselves to him.

However, if we consider Guru as a man, it…

      • However, if we consider Guru as a man, the Shloka means: Guru is creator of knowledge Brahma, sustainer Vishnu and Shiv, destroyer of evil. Guru is (as respectful) as GOD itself. I bow before that Guru.

But, in that case, it is needed to have a good Guru. If Guru chosen is fraud, this is how Guru Naanak deals with that situation.

However, there is no fixed consensus as to how to find true Guru. But this method can help you laying some criteria.

(Here, Naanaa means many and Naanaa chakkar refers to many cycles pointing towards rebirth & death.)
(This clear who is fraud and who isn’t)

  • Namaste rashmi,

I agree with most things you said, but not everything. I do agree that a Rishi/Guru would be helpful in guiding you to reach God, but I don’t believe that is absolutely necessary. I think you can achieve God without them as well. As you, I do believe Krishna, Buddha, and the many Dharmic people who are sometimes worshiped as God are not God, but Yogis that have become Rishis. And our goal is not to worship them, but learn from their teachings and be able to experience the enlightenment like they have and become Rishis as well. Basically leading to Moksha. I guess that is what makes are Dharmic tradition great and amazing. We don’t have that history centric prophet tradition that other religions have. We have the Rishi tradition that no one person or group of people in some historical time have all the power. We as individuals can become liberated and achieve that liberation ourselves. It removes the dependency from that institution. I guess that is why abrahamic faiths are so afraid of the Dharmic faiths. Dharmic faiths remove the dependency on the institution. It gives you total freedom. And helps create an interdependent relationship between the institution and individual.

    • After my study of some 40 years of some great religions of the world, I found none so scientific, none so perfect, none so philosophical and none so liberal as the great religion known as Hinduism.
      – Annie Wood Besant
      British Theosophical society

    • Without a teacher no one can atain salvation.Because no one could become intelligent without studying any book or from a teacher.Similarly, how can one achieve salvation without any Guru?Even the word salvation is known if there is some learned Guru. And many so-called Gurus have made their own ways to achieve salvation which are not true because of lack of Guru.Nobody in the world has the right and the logical way to achieve salvation.Because from the last 5000 years there had been no true Guru. All Gurus have extincted. Before 5000 years there was a vedic tradition in which everyone used to study under the guidance of a Guru.Maharshi Patanjali in Yog Darshan has clearly said that nobody can achieve salvation without Guru. Not only him but all of the six darshanas ten upanishadas four Vedas have said so.So,we should accept the truth spoken by the ancient Rishis. We should not make any new kind of truth whch is against the law of nature and say it to be a way to achieve salvation.Only those human beings say so who have some sort of pride.THey want to gain ijjat from the world saying I have achieved salvation without any Guru so I am the greatest.apako padhna likhna uthna baithna adi karm bhi mata pita acharyadi hi sikhate hai swayam ap nahi seekh pate hai.tabhi aap satya janane me samarth ho sakate hai.koi bhi aap hi aap mahan nahi bana.

      • Namaste Vinay Arya,

I respect your view, but I do not agree with it. I do think a true Guru or Rishi will help in liberation, but I do not think it is necessary to have a Guru or even a book. Again I respect your opinion, but I do not agree with it.

      • GURU is a Sanskrit word borrowed into English. It literally means from darkness to light. (As per some scholars, it also means heavy but that heaviness is in value not in burden. The Latin adjective “gravo” – meaning important is Apbhransha / adaptation of Sanskrit adjective “गुरुत्व”.)

With passage of time, the meaning was slightly modified with person focused approach. Nowadays, Guru means a person who takes us from darkness to light. The need of such a Guru is explained here

Ram Krishna Paramhansa was a born Hindu, to understand Christianity, he converted. To understand Islam too, he converted. Then he understood what is good from each religion and converted back to Hinduism. Then he preached his disciples the goodness. This is the need of Guru, for a skeptic person – Guru is mandatory. Once he / she understands the truth & follows it, Guru only becomes the reference NOT an essential part.

We must understand development logic. Human brain isn’t like animal brain to accept everything as it is. Humans often have tendency to question. Science says – that is mandatory for learning and development. Imagine, there is no one to answer, what will happen???

So, in initial stages, Guru is quite needed. As the meditation progresses, Guru’s role reduces to some extent and he becomes our support. With further progress, Guru becomes reference. – For example, when most of hindus came to Agniveer for 1st time, they were idol worshipers of some kind. Many did not know who Vedic GOD is & how to worship. Now, almost every Hindu here is educated enough. So, by that logic, agniveer is a Guru. Just my point: Scholars can refine it.

  • It would be better if the course material covering all the subjects is prepared both in Hindi and English, so that we southerners could get the course material in English and arrange similar Vedic classes in places like Aryasamaj. Hope this requirement will be met.

    • I agree. I think Agniveer actually does some of the programs in some southern languages like Kannada, Malayalam, and Tamil. I’m unsure if they have anything in Telugu yet. It would be great if they did. I think there is a great need for a Vedic or Dharmic movement in the Andhra as well. The state has a lot of issues.

      • Shrimaan, Please read Bhagwaat Geeta EK vadic Rahasya part I ans II. Second only people who have not attained samadahi talks of krishna as God.
        Rest all:-
for eg :- Shirdi sai baba a samadhi prapt yogi never said Krishna is God. He said God is formless.
Swami sammarths teaching too tallies with vedas.
Nityananda Bhagwaan of ganeshpuri too said Krishna as yogi. His Chidaksha Gita is wonderfull to read . He never wrote. But his disciples collected and wrote his teachings.
Then many secrets are unravelled by paramhansa yogananda in his “autobiography of Yogi.
You can not know God by intellect n knowledge of Vedas but you require a guru who has experienced it self. I recommend all to read Vedas a divine light part 1- 5 especially yoga a vedas divine philosophy n Patanjali yogadarshanam.
All these texts which i recommended are related and highly logical.

  • Hi Agniveer ji,
Eagerly waiting for the classes to start in Chennai also.Until then i will do my duty of spreading vedic dharm to the people around me.

    • Dear Bimbo, there are many logical fallacies there. Just see the very beginning. Difficulty in being Hindu.

He says Muslim, Christian, Parsi etc. all have 1 founder whose messages they follow. No such founder of Hindu.

This error arises due to interchanging religion & community. Both aren’t interchangeable at all. A particular community is a group of people who are similar in some way while religion is a particular system of belief in a god or gods and the activities that are connected with this system. Ref: Collins Cobuild Dictionary. All the religions are basically communities. Hinduism, on the other hand is diverse and vast that it cannot be community but a way of life – You can’t be Christian if you don’t believe in Jesus and you can’t be Muslim if you don’t believe in Mohammed. A Mohammedan cannot be worshiper of Jesus or vice versa. It is quite possible to be Hindu and worship Christian / Muslim GODs at the same time. Hinduism teaches to visualize GOD within all individuals and surroundings. Vedas gave individual names to each attribute of GOD. These attributes were meditated upon by humans later on, who became self-actualized accordingly. So, the difficulty of knowing why one is Hindu isn’t a problem in first place but the way for ultimate liberty. The way which does not exist in any other religion.

      • You made some good points. The key is Hinduism or many Dharmic beliefs don’t have the prophet tradition. They have the Rishi tradition. It means someone can become enlightened and than show others how to do the same thing. There is no exclusivity to the claim. We can experience it for ourselves and know if it is true or not. The problem with the prophet tradition is it is history centric. None of those prophets showed their followers how to become the jesus or the mohammed or the moses or the abraham or the jashuwa or anyone else. While in many dharmic traditions they show us how to become the krishna or buddha. So it is a living tradition that is reprove-able. That is the only way to do it. And only way to be enlightened.

प्रबन्धनक्षेत्र का एक प्रश्न है – Are champions born OR are they made.

    • Hi Bimbo,

Gone through that website. Following conclusions can be easily drawn.
1> The asker (I don’t know who is he) does not know that many Hindu books were adulterated
2> The asker further assumes what the Britishers spoke of – related with Aryan Invasion Myth to be true.
3> The asker refers to Vedas and other books from Max Muller point of view.

Nevertheless, I am working on the clearance of confusions and will soon do the same. The problem is that many assumptions seem to be invalid. Also, the questions are framed in such a manner that it requires detailed answers to be given. So, it isn’t one day job – will take time. When I am done, I will mail you…

  • Good job Agniveer. In addition to posting messages here and on Facebook, it is important for everyone to take the message & learning of Vedas to the average unassuming Hindu that goes about his/her everyday life, some of whom, follow devious Gurudoms. One need not be a Vedic expert but the drift of what’s seen here on the website on Vedas, can be articulated easily among family, friends and in places like temples. People, especially in the cities must use local temples to connect with others and exploit gatherings during festivals to voluntarily spread the Vedic knowledge. And it is important that those that still have morrings back to their villages do attend the average annual temple chariot festivals to take these messages to the masses.

  • Nice move agniveer jee .
please also consider on-line Vedic Training using or similar sites .
It will be beneficial for many people who could not able to attend classes due to location constrain

    • @shravak
      __________Nice Initiative_________

No Hindu will come in your Trap. Very soon after winning of UP election many more Hindu will be converted Into Islam. Congress will ensure safety of Islam in India.

Ok I will discuss this to Imam of Jama Masjiz of Delhi. I do not want to commit any Kufra by attending class of Kaffirs. As You know there is Fatwa issued by Deveband for Muslims not participating in Surya Namaskar in (MP). It is duty of all muslim do not act anything which is against Islam religion made by Allah.

      • @Salim Shaikh
Another excuse. Just say it, you don’t want to go. Why this drama?
lol… and don’t ask him. We know, he will never going to send you.

      • You do not want to commit kufra by attending classes of Kafirs but none of you mind going to Haj after recieving the subsidies funded by the same kafirs. Its all about money, honey !

      • What’s your problem. Let Dharmic people do what they want to. I guess that is what islam teaches you, to prevent other people from practicing their religion and teaching it.
