Where can I buy the English translated Vedas translated by Swami Dayanand Saraswati? Also, get back to me regarding the Aryan Invasion Theory. Still waiting for your reply.

English translation of Swami Dayanand may be available partially at vedicbooks.com. You can also check translations by Devi Chand. But there is need to have a modern translation that is complete and contemporary.

Actually women are the pivotal point around which a civilization dwells. Women have a major role in the development of a sound society. She is the first teacher of her child. It is through her that the child gets his first lessons of life. Please note, we always say “Mother-tongue” and not “father-tongue”. All great men had a woman behind him. Shivaji had Jijabai (his mother) who exhorted him to FIGHT the enemies, Gandhi had Putlibai (his mother) who gave him famous “3-vows” before he left for studies in England. It changed his life for ever.
If you read Guru Granth Sahib, there is a mention of 40 warriors who cold-shouldered Guru Govind Singh in the middle of the war and went to their village. It was their mothers and sisters who chided them for betraying the guru. And these inspired men returned to fight the moguls and all of them made the supreme sacrifice.
Then we have the famous dialogue b/w Yamraj and Satyawati (Satyawan’s wife). This courageous Lady ,through her wit and knowledge, convinced Yamraj (God of death) to release the life of her husband. Then who can forget the the glory of Rajput women-folk, who performed jauhar (jumping into fire) before the men committed Saka (fight to the point of death) so that the men do not worry about the risk of their Muslim adversaries robing the women of their honor in case of battle-loss!!
We also have Rani-lakshmi bai who defied all odds to fight the Britishers.
Take our modern world, for example, ever noticed why Christian missionaries are specifically targeting women-folk?? Why stress laid on more Girls Convent schools than on co-education. The reason is implicit: They realize the importance of women-folk in propagation of their religion. If women-folk of a family are convinced of the greatness of Christ then the children in the family will definitely be influenced or at least sympathize with their cause. (Please notice the biased attitude of our English media) Sadly some of our Stubborn Dharam-Gurus are not realizing the potential of women and are hell bent in following their dogmas of confining her. Thank you Agniveer for the initiative.

Let me give you another interesting instance of the influence that a mother weaves on her child. This instance changed the modern world forever. We all know that Hitler was a cruel man, fanatic to the core and responsible for the biggest genocide of the modern world (just next to that of Indo-pak Partition). But do you know what made him so vengeful?? Apart from all other factors, one big factor was the Hitlor’s family himself. Alois hitler (Adolf hitler’s father) was a highly authoritarian husband. Hitler’s book “Mein Kampf” (My Struggle) gives a detailed view about the kind of physical beating his father unleashed upon him and his mother Klara. (Now this is IMPORTANT)– When young Hitler saw his mother meekly surrendering to the tortures, crying in silence and surrender, he developed a hate towards his father. He started treating his mother as akin to “Germany” (At that time Germany was facing humiliating terms of treaty of Versailles after world war-I) and his father as the “other world”. This psychology created in him a GREAT HATE and a desire to rule over the “oppressive” ‘other world’. Hence -inadvertently- Silent suffering of his mother became a “contributing” factor to Hitler’s fanatism.
(Sorry, if I have dwelled too much on Child psychology, BUT the point was important vis-a-vis the respect of women in a family & society and the consequential positives that inures to the overall society)

यत्र नार्यस्तु पूज्यन्ते रमन्ते तत्र देवता: !
यत्रेतास्तु न पूज्यन्ते सर्वास्तत्राफला: क्रिया: !! मनु:
Prosperity reigns supreme where women are held in high esteem. All their actions fail to bring wellbeing, where women are held in disrespect.
This has been a uniquely Indian tradition from Vedic times, and is not found in any other world civilization.
Modern world society seeks to draw attention to important issues, by assigning a DAY to each issue. Not inappropriately, we have a ‘Girl Child’ day also. This day should also help us to do a little introspection on the state of our society.
Our elitist educated class in imitating the west is seeking for women in the Indian society an equal opportunity statute.
Swami Vivekand was asked by an American in 1890, if women enjoyed status equal to men in India. Eloquent Swami ji is reported to have dumb founded Indians in his audience by saying ‘NO’, and then after a pause, ‘The women India are accorded a higher status than men.’
In the above quote from Manu it is stated that all efforts of a society to achieve well fare for its people bear no fruit, if the women in that society are not treated with respect.
Reflecting on the state of our Indian society today, we witness even our elected leaders, surrounded by high security, constantly living under fear of violent attacks by members of our own society. Daily violent attacks on innocent people, miseries and crimes against society fill the front page space in our media. We are witnessing hunger, poverty, social, educational inequalities. Worsening food security and food safety are of great concern. Adverse climate changes seem to be beyond our control. With all the advances of sciences and technology in the modern world, with the best of intentions, think tanks, task forces, missions and commissions, we find all our efforts slipping, in addressing these problems. Has the mankind ‘really’ made real progress?
It may come as a surprise that description of such a society is found verbatim in Vedas.
“Where the truth speaking learned men and honest citizens do not enjoy, free speech; Where there is no audience to hear sane voices of reason; Where members of its society are maltreated because they are poor, meek and soft; Where girl child and women are left uncared, unkempt, unsafe, and exploited; Where learning, education, knowledge and scholarship are not given due importance and Where the unborn fetuses are aborted.”
There the king and his bejeweled consort, even under best of security feel threatened and spend sleepless nights in their chambers. High remunerations paid to the employees in administration, services and defense forces fail to ensure expected good performances.
Where prosperity earned out of honest living is not adulated, Health from good milk giving cows, good food from fertile fields and bulls and lotus bearing ponds are missed, Strong horses are not yoked to the chariots, People plunder, exploit and shed blood of each other, Brothers cheat and kill each other, Calamities rain on the society, like thunder bolts from the sky, or rain of blazing hot lava rocks.”
Vedas point out that this situation is brought about by not understanding the role of women in inculcating right values in the society and by the unmindful neglect of the female of the species.
Girl child starting from her birth, growing through infancy, adolescence, puberty and marriage, performs the role of continuing the human society by giving birth to new generations.
Mother is the first teacher to cultivate sense for aesthetics to avoid ugliness in life and cultivate the right value system for the human society by proper family upbringing of the young ones. Vedas attribute this most important role assigned by nature to the female of the species.
Rig Veda and Atharva Veda mention the deliberation of the divine forces on this subject, when female of the species was created. Role of females in society, duties of the society in development of the full potential of female talents, and finally the consequences of abrogation and neglect by the society of its duties towards the welfare of female, are the topics covered very exhaustively in Vedas. It is left to the learned audience to judge as to how relevant and erudite are these ideas, even in the light of modern sociology.
It may be considered inappropriate but the truth of the matter is that this present state of our Indian society is that of a ‘TALIBANISED’ society. Is it not the hall mark of most Islamic nations in which girl child and female of the species is not accorded due respect and protection, and treated as very inferior? It may not be out of place to mention that according to Christian and Islamic scriptures females did not have a soul.

On the conceived Role of Female in building Human Society
1-.तेS वदन् प्रथमा ब्रह्मकिल्विषे S कूपार: सलिलो मातरिश्वा ! वीडुहरास्तप उग्रं मयोभूरापो देवी: प्रथमजा: ऋतस्य !! ऋ10/109/1, अथर्व 5/17/1
“In the beginning three devataas viz. akoopaar, salilo and matarishwa, (Solar energy, the primordial soup and the moving winds laden with microbes) – that had taken part in creation of the physical humans, te awadan- deliberated among themselves. To brahmkilvishe – plan for preventing degradation of human society by Veeduharaastapugram – defeating the fires of strong dominating commandeering forces, of ugliness, violence, gross selfishness and over confidence uncivilized behavior, by mayobhoorapo dousing these fire with cool waters. For this prathamaaja devee first born female was conceived by ritasya – by God almighty’s wisdom.
(Invincible Samson was cooled off by Delilah in bible) Vedas are in fact giving the same allegorical interpretation, but in a more comprehensive and scientific form, as follows.
2- सोमो राजा प्रथमो ब्रह्मजायां पुनः प्रायच्छदहृणीयमानः ।
अन्वर्तिता वरुणो मित्र आसीदग्निर्होता हस्तगृह्या निनाय॥ ऋ10-109-2, अथर्व 5-17-2
सोमस्य जाया प्रथमं गन्धर्वस्तेऽपरः पतिः।
तृतीयो अग्निष्टे पतिस्तुरीयस्ते मनुष्यजाः॥ अथर्व 14-1-3, ऋ 10-85-40
सोमो ददद्‌ गन्धर्वाय गन्धर्वो ददग्नये।
रयिं च पुत्रश्चादादग्निर्मह्यमथो इमाम्‌॥ अथर्व14-2-4, ऋ10-85-41
These three Ved mantras also occurring in different places explain the same three stages in the development of the female temperament.
In the beginning is what modern science refers to the age before formation of ‘the blood brain barrier’ in the children i.e. up to about 4 years age. According to our Shastras the girl child is under the guardianship of Soma.
Vedas elaborate on Soma as god of intellect and poetically describe Soma being the first husband of the females during their infancy.
(Modern science tells us that that DHA (Decosa Hexaenoic Acid) and EPA (Ecosa Pentaenoic Acid) are the two fatty acids that power the human brain in all its activities related to human faculties. DHA is particularly associated with eyesight. Both DHA and EPA are made in the human body from ALA the Omega 3 fatty acids.
In young females capacity for conversion of dietary Omega 3 to DHA is nearly 20 higher and EPA is nearly three times higher than males. Thus it is the female of the species that has been given the extra responsibility to ensure good brains, eye sight, the intellectual strength for the human progeny.
Nature has thus provided the females with a far superior role in building a human society than men, because to start with only sharp and farsighted brains ensure a sustainable happy society.
This fact is borne out by the observation that in modern society not only in India but even in the Ivy leage colleges in USA, girls are regularly obtaining the academic laurels far ahead of boys. This is no different from Indian experience. Girls are seen to be snatching the top scholastic positions in all examinations in India.
This is the scientific basis of the unique Vedic Culture that addresses the girl child as an object of veneration and the females to be accorded high position and treated with respect in society.
In the second stage till the age of puberty around 12/13 years, during adolescence the girl child is possessed by Gandharvas.
Gandharwas represents aesthetics, all which is beautiful, delicate, sensitive, empathic and virtuous in this world. In visuals the talents for appreciation of beauty in nature, arts, physical forms, and ability to replicate the same in paintings/sculptures and such visual art forms. In audiovisual areas gandharwas, would represent good sounds, music, dance forms and drama, good vocal abilities, creative writings. Sensitivity for harmonious relations and peace loving attitudes, delicacy, creativity are the gifts to humanity of the Gandhrwas. The girl child in her teens remains preoccupied with these artistic pursuits. These natural traits of females must be given full opportunities to develop. Females thus become the embodiment of these qualities for the human race. Poetically Vedas describe the Gandhrwas as the second husbands of the females.)
In the third stage, with development of physical body functions, in Vedic language female body is as if afire with – the flesh gets stronger – by कामाग्नि.
Female becomes ready for taking on her role of a wife by being married to a human being. And thus bring forth good progeny for progress and continuation of human society.
3-हस्तेनैव ग्राह्यआधिरस्या ब्रह्मजायेयमिति चेदवोचन्‌ ।
न दूताय प्रह्ये तस्थ एषा तथा राष्ट्रं गुपितं क्षत्रियस्य॥ ऋ 10-109-3अथर्व 5-17-3
But it is also said that at this age to prevent the young females from being led astray, they require protective hand holding, just like a nation whose safety and security is ensured by the Kshatriyas.
4-यामाहुस्तारकैषा विकेशीति दुच्छनां ग्राममवपद्यमानाम्‌ ।
जाया वि दुनोति राष्ट्रं यत्र प्रापादि शश उल्कुषीमान्‌ ॥ अथर्व-5-17-4
(It is at this stage here that this first Veda mantra is added by Atharwa Veda as a further elucidation of the subject.)
Symbolized like unkempt hair of neglected deprived women, are the grown up undisciplined-unprincipled and ignorant females. When they bear children they propagate ignorance and lack of wise counsel to their young offspring. This brings to bear upon the society as a great scourge, like the destructive thunder bolts falling from the sky.
5-ब्रह्मचारी चरति वेविषद्विषः स-देवानां भवत्येकमङ्‌गम्‌ ।
तेन जायामन्वविदद्‌बृहस्पतिः सोमेन नीतां जुह्वं ने देवाः ॥
ऋ 10-109-5 अथर्व 5-17-5
Brahmcharis the young well educated learned youth have ability to take even the fallen women and bring them to flower, their hidden potential to bear good progeny for intellectual progress of the human race as originally the Gods had desired.
6-देवा वा एतस्यामवदन्त पूर्वे सप्तऋषयस्तपसे ये निषेदुः ।
भीमा जाया ब्राह्मणस्योपनीता दुर्धां दधाति परमे व्योमन्‌ ॥
On this subject, based on the observation and experience of the elders through Saptrishis –The seven observers.
(SevenRishis are named Kashyap,Atri,Bharadwaj, Jamadagni, Gautam. The seven sensory organs two eyes, two ears, two nostrils and mouth are also described as representing these Seven Rishis) i.e. basically what could be called ‘media reports’, it was expressed that women who are led astray by kidnapping or enticing, bring to bear upon the society very heavy social calamities, and it is the duty of the media to highlight such issues.
7- ये गर्भा अवपद्यन्ते जगद्‌ यच्चापलुप्यते।
वीरा ये तृह्यन्ते मिथो ब्रह्मजाया हिनस्ति तान्‌॥ अथर्व 5-17-7
Even female fetuses that are destroyed bring forth in the society an atmosphere of rampant violence where chivalrous, strong men start violence and fights among themselves. This is seen as the curse of female fetuses destroyed.
8-उत यत्‌ पतयो दश स्त्रियाः पूर्वे अब्राह्मणाः।
ब्रह्मा चे द्वस्तमग्रहीत्‌ स एव पतिरेकधा ॥ अथर्व-5-17-8
But a fallen woman even if she has been exploited by tens of men, finally gets accepted in a proper marriage to a good virtuous man, she is rehabilitated as being married to one man.
9-ब्राह्मण एव पतिर्न राजन्यो3 न वैश्यः।
तत्‌ सूर्यः प्रब्रुवन्नेति पञ्चभ्यो मानवेभ्यः ॥ अथर्व 5-17-9
Like the illuminating light of the sun on the entire earth, this fact should also be very well known in the world that all people must develop their intellect. Merely on the strength of acquiring a higher status of a ruler over men, or a big warrior or a big moneyed person in life, no body acquires the qualification to be a good parent to father a progeny by taking a wife.
10-पुनर्वै देवा अददुः पुनर्मनुष्या उत । राजानः सत्यं कृण्वाना ब्रह्म जायां पुनर्ददुः ॥ ऋ 10-109-6 अथर्व 5-17-10
In case of any female if kidnapped or exploited, it becomes the duty of the state to rescue her and rehabilitate her in the society with due respect.
11-पुनर्दाय ब्रह्मजाया कृत्वी देवैर्निल्बिषम्‌ ।
ऊर्जं पृथिव्या भक्तवायो रुगायमुपासते ॥ ऋ 10-109-7 अथर्व 5-17-11
Such women are considered innocent of any crime, and if need arises their rehabilitation should be at state expense.
12-नास्य जाया शतवाही कल्याणी तल्पमा शये ।
यस्मिन राष्ट्रे निरुध्यते ब्रह्मजायाचित्या ॥ अथर्व 5-17-12
Even the ruler protected/surrounded by hundreds of security force does not feel secure enough, to have a sound sleep in his chamber, in a Nation where females are commandeered/forced upon against their free will.
13-न विकर्णः पृथुशिरास्तस्मिन्वेश्मनि जायते ।
यस्मिन्‌ राष्ट्रे निरुध्यते ब्रह्मजायाचित्या ॥ अथर्व 5-17-13
That nation/society becomes deaf/ignorant to the voice of the people and no intellectual scholars grow, where females are commandeered/forced upon against their free will.
14-नास्य क्षत्ता निष्कग्रीवः सूनानामेत्यग्रतः ।
यस्मिन्‌ राष्ट्रे निरुध्यते ब्रह्मजायाचित्या ॥ अथर्व 5-17-14
Chivalrous strong men do not show up in nations, where females are commandeered /forced upon against their free will.
15-नास्य श्वेतः कृष्णकर्णो धुरि युक्तो महीयते ।
यस्मिन्‌ राष्ट्रे निरुध्यते ब्रह्मजायाचित्या ॥ अथर्व 5-17-15
By not being able to mount the horses in their chariots – to perform Aswamedh yagna – That nation/state loses face and influence in the world, where females are commandeered/forced upon against their free will.
16-नास्य क्षेत्रे पुष्करिणी नाण्डीकं जायते बिसम्‌ ।
यस्मिन्‌ राष्ट्रे निरुध्यते ब्रह्मजायाचित्या ॥ अथर्व 5-17-16
Water bodies do not sport lotus flowers and the lotus flowers do not bear seeds to propagate themselves, – The environment suffers, where females are commandeered/forced upon against their free will.
17-नास्मै पृश्नि वे दुहन्ति ये ऽस्या दोहमुपासते ।
यस्मिन्‌ राष्ट्रे निरुध्यते ब्रह्मजायाचित्या ॥ अथर्व 5-17-17
Cows are no longer able to provide good quantities of milk, where females are commandeered /forced upon against their free will.
18-नास्य धेनुः कल्याणी नानड्‌वान्त्सहते धुरम्‌ ।
विजानिर्यत्र ब्राह्मणो रात्रिं वसति पापया ॥ अथर्व-5-17-18
Neither the cows bring welfare to society nor oxen get yoked, and without active participation of the women in the society, men are given to crime in night life.

‘ धूम्रकेतु ‘ श्री महागणेशजी का एक नाम है और धूम्रकेतु का अर्थ है धुए के समान फैले हुए अंधकार (अज्ञान ) का अंत करने वाले । मेरे इस कार्य मे भी इन्ही देव की कृपा है ।

एक ही अग्नि रूपी पुत्र को उत्पन्न करने वाली ,मार्गो को प्रकाशित करके उन्हे जाने योग्य बनाती हुयी , सभी प्रकार की ज्ञान संपदा को व्याकरण रुप मे धारण करती हुई , उत्तम दर्शन योग्य दो गौए ( अग्नि संवर्धन करने वाली यजमान दंपति रूप ) चारो और विचरण कर रही है ।
// Rigveda 2.6.5: If mother and sister perform Yajna together, that brings bliss.//
अन्तरिक्ष से वे अग्निदेव हमारे लिए वृष्टि करे । वे हमे श्रेष्ठ बल तथा हजारो प्रकार का अन्न प्रदान करे ।
// Rigveda 7.1.6: The young woman approaches the fire with Havi //
आहुती के योग्य घृत धारण करने वाली जो नित्य सम्बद्ध (यज्ञ पात्र जुहू अथवा स्थूल सूक्ष्म सामाग्री ) सुदक्ष श्रेष्ठ कुशल (यज्ञाग्नि ) के पास पहुचती है वह अपने ही धन से दीप्ति प्राप्त करती है ।
//Atharvaveda 3.28.6: O wife, you have entered the world of Yajna.//
जिस देश मे श्रेष्ठ हृदय वाले तथा श्रेष्ठ कर्म वाले मनुष्य अग्निहोत्र ,हवन आदि मे हवी प्रदान करने के लिए नियत रहते हैं । उस देश मे यमिनी मनुष्यो और पशुओ की हिंसा न करे
// Atharvaveda 3.30.6: All the members of family should perform Yajna. //
हे समानता की कामना करने वाले मनुष्यो ! आपके जल पीने के स्थान एक हो तथा अन्न का भाग साथ-साथ हो । हम आपको एक ही प्तेंपाश मे साथ-साथ बांधते हैं । जिस प्रकार पहियो के अरे नाभि के आश्रित होकर रहते हैं , उसी प्रकार आप सब भी केवल एक ही फल की कामना करते हुए अग्निदेव की उपासना करे ।
//Atharvaveda 14.2.18: O woman, you should perform Yajna in Grihastha Ashram.//
देवर और पति को कष्ट न पहुचाती हुई , पशुओ के लिए हितकारिणी ,श्रेष्ठ नियमो पर चलने वाली , श्रेष्ठ तेजस्विता -सम्पन्न ,संतानयुक्त वीर संतानों को जन्म देने वाली , पतिगृह मे देवर का कल्याण चाहती हुई , सुखदायिनी बनकर आप इस गार्हपत्य अग्नि की हवन द्वारा स्तुति करे
जरा इसके पहले का श्लोक भी पढे ( 14.2 यह विवाह के समय के यज्ञ के विषय मे है )
अथर्ववेद 14.2.17 हे वधू ! आप सुखकारिणी ,स्नेहदृष्टी से युक्त , कल्याणकारिणी , सेवा करने वाली , श्रेष्ठ नियमो पर चलने वाली ,वीर संतानों जन्म देने वाली , देवर के कल्याण की कामना करने वाली , पाती को क्षीण न करने वाली और शुभ अंतरभावना से युक्त हो , जिससे हम आपसे वृदधी को प्राप्त करे ।

मात्रत्व को धारण करने वाली इस स्त्री के साथ नानविध रूप वर्ण वाले ,गाय आदि पशु रहे । हे उत्तम मंगलमय स्त्री ! आप अग्निदेव के समीप बैठकर देवो को सुशोभित करे ।
स्त्री और शिक्षा
//Rigveda 6.44.18: The government should ensure that all boys and girls get good education, follow Brahmacharya and strengthen the society.//
हे इंद्रदेव ! आप धनवान हैं । इन संग्रामो मे हमे सुखदाई बहुत सा धन प्राप्त कराए । आप हमे विजय प्राप्ति के योग्य सामर्थ्य प्रदान करे तथा पुत्र-पोतरों व जल वृष्टी से हमे समृद्ध बनाए ।
// Rigveda 3.1.23: Smart people should ensure that all boys and girls become scholars.//
हे अग्निदेव ! आप यज्ञादी कार्य के लिए अनेक सत्कर्मों के लिए और गौओ के पोषण के लिए उत्तम भूमी हमे प्रदान करे । हमारे पुत्र वंश की वृदधी करने वाले हों । आपकी वह सुमति हमे प्राप्त हो ।
//Rigveda 2.41.16: All girls should receive education from scholarly women.//
हे नदियो ,मात्रगणो ,देवो मे सर्वश्रेष्ठ माता सरस्वती ! हम मूर्ख बालको के समान हैं ; अतः आप हमे उत्तम ज्ञान प्रदान करे ।
//Rigveda 1.152.6: The way mother nourishes her children with milk, scholars should nourish girls and boys with knowledge.//
रक्षक गौए ( गाय ,वाणी , किरण ) अपने स्रोतो से ममतायुक्त उपासको को पोषण प्रदान करे । सदज्ञान के ज्ञाता आप ( मित्रा वरुण ) से उचित पोषण ( आहार व विचार ) मांगे । आपकी उपासना से साधक मृत्यु को जीत ले ।

हे माता सरस्वती ! आपके तेजस्वी आश्रय मे ही सम्पूर्ण जीवन-सुख आश्रित है ,अतः हे माता ! आप पवित्र करने वाले यज्ञ मे आनंदित होकर हमे उत्तम संतति प्रदान करे ।
// Rigveda 1.117.24: Teachers should ensure that they train boys and girls with highest levels of noble values and educate them and then return them to their respective parents.//
हे अश्विनी कुमारों ! आप दोनों श्रेष्ठ दान दाता , औदार्यपूर्ण और नेत्रत्व क्षमता से सम्पन्न हैं । बांझ स्त्री को पुत्रदान देकर उसके हाथो को स्वर्ण संपदा को धारण करने योग्य बनाया । जो श्याव तीन स्थानो से घायलावस्था मे पड़े थे , उन्हेजीवन दान देने हेतु आप दोनों के द्वारा उत्तम ढंग से परिचर्या की गई ।
// Rigveda 1.164.41: The woman who masters and teaches all the Vedas brings bliss in entire society. //
गौ ( वाणी ) निश्चित ही शब्द करती हुई जलो ( रसो ) को हिलाती ( तरंगित ) है । वह गौ ( काव्यमाई वाणी ) एक ,दो ,चार, आठ, अथवा नो पदो वाले छंदो मे विभाजित होती हुई सहस्त्र अक्षरो से युक्त होकर व्यापक आकाश मे समव्याप्त हो जाती है ।
[ इस ऋचा मे गौ का अर्थ सूर्य राशमियों से लिया जा सकता है । वे रसो को संचरित करती हुई सहस्त्र चरण वाली बनकर आकाश मे समव्याप्त होती है । ]
// Rigveda 7.40.7: Scholarly woman that possess noble qualities should educate all women and bring happiness everywhere.//
आप वशीष्ठों ने ध्यावा-पृथ्वी की सुनिश्चित स्त्रोतों से स्तुती की । यजन करने योग्य वरुण ,इन्द्र व अग्निदेव की भी स्तुती की गई । अन्नदाता देवता हमे पूजा ( श्रेष्ठ कार्यो ) मे प्रयुक्त किए जाने योग्य श्रेष्ठतम अन्न व धन प्रदान करे ।
// Yajurveda 20.85: Scholarly woman should ensure that she educates other women and makes them also scholars.//
उत्तम और सत्या वाणियो द्वारा सन्मार्ग की प्रेरणा देने वाली , कुमति को दूर कर सुमति को जगाने वाली सरस्वती देवी हमारे यज्ञ को धारण करती है ।
// Yajurveda 34.40: The way dawn brings happiness among human beings, scholarly woman should bring happiness by educating girls.//
अश्वो से युक्त ,गौ से युक्त ,वीर संतानों से सम्पन्न , कल्याण-स्वरूपा प्रभात वेला जिस प्रकार घृत युक्त दूध को प्रदान करती है , उसी प्रकार सम्पूर्ण दिशाओ को व्याप्त करने वाली प्रभात वेलाए ( उषाए ) हमारे अज्ञान रूप बंधनो को भी सदा हटाए । हे देवताओ ! आप सभी हमारी रक्षा करते हुए सदेव हमारा कल्याण करें ।

हे याजक ! हम आपके प्राण ,वाणी,दृष्टी,श्रोत्र ,नाभि जनन्नेद्रिय ,गुदा आदि को शुद्ध करते हैं । इस प्रकार आपके चरित्र मे शोधन कर उसे यज्ञानुकूल बनाते हैं ।

देवा वाहक ,कार्यकुशल ,तेजस्वितायुक्त ,गतिशील अति तीक्षण ,मेधा-सम्पन्न ,श्रेष्ठ स्थान के निवासी ,सहसत्रों के पोषणकर्ता और अतिपावन अग्निदेव अपनी तेजस्विता को प्रगत करते हुए यज्ञवेदी पर सुशोभित होते हैं ।

( अकभिषेक के लिए पात्रो मे स्थापित ) यह जल आनंददायी ,येजस्वी,उत्तम कर्मा तथा पराजित न होने वाला है । यह आवास ( घर ) की तरह निवास प्रदान करने वाला , धारण करने वाला तथा माता की तरह पोषण देने वाला है । शिशुरूप यजमान आदरसहित इसे स्थापित करे

// Rigveda 1.164.49: O scholarly woman, your knowledge provides us peace and bliss. You lead us to inculcate noble virtues. You provide us prosperity through your knowledge. May we obey your inspiration that you provide as a mother. A scholarly woman is mother of entire society.//
हे देवी सरस्वती ! जो आपका सुखदायक ,वरन करने योग्य ,पुष्टिकारक , एश्वर्य प्रदाता ,कल्याणकारी विभूतियों को देने वाला स्तन ( स्वरूप ) है ,उसे जगत के पोषण के लिए प्रगत करे ।
// Rigveda 2.41.16: O provider of great knowledge, O my mother through the nourishment of knowledge that you have provided, our life is scattered without you. Please provide us direction.//
हे नदियो ,मात्रगणो ,देवो मे सर्वश्रेष्ठ माता सरस्वती ! हम मूर्ख बालको के समान हैं ; अतः आप हमे उत्तम ज्ञान प्रदान करे ।

हे माता सरस्वती ! आपके तेजस्वी आश्रय मे ही सम्पूर्ण जीवन-सुख आश्रित है ,अतः हे माता ! आप पवित्र करने वाले यज्ञ मे आनंदित होकर हमे उत्तम संतति प्रदान करे ।

जो सरस्वती देवी ,सुंदर, उत्तम आन डेबे वाली ,वीअरो का पालन करने वाली ,पवित्र करने वाली है , वे हमारे यज्ञ अनुष्ठान को धारण करे । देवांगनाओ सहित प्रसन्न होकर वे स्तोताओ को छिद्र रहित निवास प्रदान करे तथा उनका कल्याण करे ।
//Rigveda 6.61.2: O scholarly woman, the way a river breaks away mightiest of hills and rocks, the scholarly woman destroys myths and hypes through her intellect alone. May we bow to women through our polite words and noble actions.//
जो सरस्वती देवी अपने बलवान वेग से कमलनाल की तरह पर्वत के तटो को तोड़ देती हैं हम उन सरस्वती देवी की भक्ति करते हैं । , वे हमारी रक्षा करे ।
// Rigveda 6.61.3: O scholarly woman, destroy the evil inside us through your knowledge and character. Gift us with knowledge of Vedas. O performer of noble actions, you provide us stream of knowledge in same manner as a river provides stream of water.//
हे सरस्वती देवी ! आपने देवताओ की निंदा करने वाले को विनष्ट किया । आप उसी तरह कपटी-दुष्टो का नाश करे । मानवो के लाभ के लिए आपने संरक्षित भू-भाग प्रदान किए हैं । हे वाजीनिवती ! आपने ही मनुष्यो के लिए जल प्रवाहित किया है ।
// Rigveda 7.96.3: O scholarly noble woman brings only happiness in society. She makes us knowledgeable and alert. She guides us like the mantras in Yajna and teaches us use of everything in world. //
हितकारिणी सरस्वती देवी निश्चितरुप से कल्याण करने वाली हैं । सुंदर प्रवाहमान और अन्न देने वाली सरस्वती देवी हमे चेतन्य बनाए । आप जिस प्रकार जमदग्नि ऋषि द्वारा पूजित हुई हैं , उसी तरह आप वशिष्ठ से भी स्तुत्य हैं ।
// Rigveda 10.17.7: Those who desire the society to become noble and powerful, they respect woman and please her. Those who desire virtues respect woman and please her. Those who respect woman obtain bliss, knowledge and happiness.//
देवी गुणो के इच्छुक मनुष्य देवी सरस्वती का आवाहन करते हैं । यज्ञ के विस्तारित होने पर वे देवी सरस्वती की ही स्तुती करते हैं । श्रेष्ठ पुण्यात्माओ द्वारा देवी सरस्वती के आवाहन किए जाने पर , वे दानियो की आकांक्षाऑ को परिपूर्ण करती हैं ।
//Atharvaveda 7.57.1: Whenever I am hurt by meanness of world or misunderstanding with others, a scholarly woman heals my wounds. (Because women possess the soft skills and emotional intelligence that is not naturally and easily available to men.)//
मेरे जिन अंगो को याचित वस्तु के न प्राप्त होने से कष्ट हुआ है और इससे मुझमे जो आत्म-ग्लानि या हीनता के भाव आए , उन सबको देवी सरस्वती स्नेहपूर्वक दूर करें ।
//Yajurveda 20.84: The scholarly woman purifies our lives with her intellect. Through her actions, she purifies our actions. Through her knowledge and action, she promotes virtue and efficient management of society.//
सबको पवित्रता प्रदान करने वाली ,अन्न के द्वारा यज्ञादी श्रेष्ठ कर्मो को संपादित करने वाली सरस्वती देवी हमारे यज्ञ को धारण करे तथा हमे अभीष्ट वेभाव प्रदान करे ।
//Yajurveda 20.85: Scholarly woman inspires us towards knowledge. She promotes conduct of noble acts in society.//
उत्तम और सत्य वाणियो द्वारा सन्मार्ग की प्रेरणा देनी वाली ,कुमति को दूर कर सुमति जगाने वाली सरस्वती देवी हमारे यज्ञ को क्षारण करती हैं ।
//Yajurveda 20.86: Scholarly woman rushes an exhilaration within us that comes only through knowledge. She enlightens our knowledge, applications and actions.//
अनंत अन्तरिक्ष मे दिव्य रसो की वर्षा द्वारा सत्कर्म की प्रेरणा देने वाली सरस्वती देवी सभी की बुद्धियो को प्रकाशित करे ।
इंग्लिश मे वो अर्थ जो अनार्य समाज के मूर्ख संस्थापक ने निकाला है और दूसरा सीधे वेदों से मेंने प्रभु की कृपा से निकाला है । में आशा करता हूँ की आप सभी उस अनार्य समाज के मूर्ख संस्थापक की मानसिक दशा भी सही तरीके से समझ जाएंगे । यह उसकी आर्य धर्म को दूषित करने की बहुत ही गहरी चाल थी । जिसको बागडोर कुछ मूर्ख सम्हाल कर बैठे हैं । उस अनार्य समाज के मूर्ख संस्थापक के विषय मे एक समय की घटना है जब अनार्यता का भूत उसमे जन्म ले रहा था । एक बार वो अनार्य एक राजयोग की किताब ले आया और उसमे दिए गए चक्रो के विषय मे पढ़ा और उसको उन चक्रो को शरीर मे देखने की उत्सुकता हुई । उसने नदी किनारे बहता एक मृत शरीर पकड़ा और उस लगा उसको चीर-फाड़ कर देखने । जब उसको उस किताब मे दिए चक्र उसकी मंद दृष्टी से नाही द्खाई दिए तो उसने राजयोग की महान किताब को गलत मान कर फाड़ दिया और उसी मृत शरीर के साथ बहा दिया । वो मूर्ख नही जानता था की जिन्हे चक्र कहा गया है वो शरीर मे रीड ही हड्डी से निकलने वाले ग्रंथियो के समूह ( गुच्छ ) है जो शरीर मे अलग-अलग स्थानो से निकलकर शरीर मे फ़ेल जाते हैं । इस तरह की ना जाने कितनी मूर्खता पूर्ण कार्य उस अनार्य ने किए हैं ।

अथर्ववेद 5-17 ब्रह्मजाया सूक्त
[ ऋषी- मायोभू , देवता-ब्रह्मजाया , छंद-अनुष्टुप ,1-6 त्रिष्टुप ]
यंहा ब्रह्मजाया के विषय मे कहा गया है । इस सूक्त के देवता ब्रह्मजाया हैं । जाया का सामान्य अर्थ पत्नी से लिया जाता है , इस आधार पर अनेक आचार्यो ने इस सूक्त का अर्थ ब्राह्मण की एक निष्ठ पत्नी के संदर्भ मे किया है । यह ठीक भी है ; किन्तु मंत्रोक्त गूढ़ताओ का समाधान इतने मात्र से नाही होता , मनुस्मृती 9.8 के अनुसार जाया का अर्थ है -” जिसके माध्यम से पुनः जन्म होता है । ” ब्रह्म या ब्राह्मण का जन्म ब्रह्म विदध्या से होता है । ब्रह्म या ब्राह्मण ब्रह्म विदद्य के माध्यम से ही नव सृजन की प्रक्रिया आगे बढ़ाते हैं । अस्ति ब्रह्म जाया का अर्थ -ब्रह्म विदध्या करने से स्थूल व सूक्ष्म दोनों ही प्रकार के भाव सिद्ध होते हैं । उसी संदर्भ मे मंत्रर्थों को लिया जाना अधिक युक्ति संगत है ।

7- ये गर्भा अवपद्यन्ते जगद्‌ यच्चापलुप्यते।
वीरा ये तृह्यन्ते मिथो ब्रह्मजाया हिनस्ति तान्‌॥ अथर्व 5-17-7
Even female fetuses that are destroyed bring forth in the society an atmosphere of rampant violence where chivalrous, strong men start violence and fights among themselves. This is seen as the curse of female fetuses destroyed.
जो गर्भपात ( अवांछनीय या विकासक्रम का क्षीण होना ) होते हैं । जगत मे जो उथल पुथल होती है तथा ( लोग प्रायः ) परस्पर लड़ते-भिड़ते हैं ,उन सबका यह ब्रह्मजाया ( ब्रह्मविद्धया ) नष्ट कर देती है ।
8-उत यत्‌ पतयो दश स्त्रियाः पूर्वे अब्राह्मणाः।
ब्रह्मा चे द्वस्तमग्रहीत्‌ स एव पतिरेकधा ॥ अथर्व-5-17-8
But a fallen woman even if she has been exploited by tens of men, finally gets accepted in a proper marriage to a good virtuous man, she is rehabilitated as being married to one man.
इस स्त्री ( ब्राह्मीशक्ति ) के पहले दस अब्राह्मण पति ( ब्राह्मण-संस्कारहीन रक्षक अथवा दस-प्राण दस दिक्पाल आदि ) होते हैं । किन्तु जब ब्रह्म चेतना सम्पन्न व्यक्ति ( साधक ) उसको ग्रहण करता है , तो वही उसका एक मात्र स्वामी होता है ।
9-ब्राह्मण एव पतिर्न राजन्यो3 न वैश्यः।
तत्‌ सूर्यः प्रब्रुवन्नेति पञ्चभ्यो मानवेभ्यः ॥ अथर्व 5-17-9
Like the illuminating light of the sun on the entire earth, this fact should also be very well known in the world that all people must develop their intellect. Merely on the strength of acquiring a higher status of a ruler over men, or a big warrior or a big moneyed person in life, no body acquires the qualification to be a good parent to father a progeny by taking a wife.
मनुष्यो के पांचों वर्गो ( समाज के सभी विभागो अथवा पाचो तत्वो ) से सूर्योदय यह कहते हुए विचरण करते हैं की ब्राह्मण ही इस का पति है । राजा (क्षत्रिय) तथा वेश्य (व्यापारी) इसके पति नाही हो सकते ।
[ब्रह्म शक्ति केवल ब्रह्म निष्ठों के प्रति आकर्षित हो सकती है । उसका सामान्य प्रयोग भले ही अन्य लोग भी करते हो ]
10-पुनर्वै देवा अददुः पुनर्मनुष्या उत । राजानः सत्यं कृण्वाना ब्रह्म जायां पुनर्ददुः ॥ ऋ 10-109-6 अथर्व 5-17-10
In case of any female if kidnapped or exploited, it becomes the duty of the state to rescue her and rehabilitate her in the society with due respect.
देवताओ और मनुष्यो ने बार-बार यह ब्रह्मजाया (ब्रह्मनिष्ठों) को प्रदान की है । सत्या स्वरूप राजाओ ने भी दुबारा शपथपूर्वक (संकल्पपूर्वक) इस सत्या निष्ठा को उन्हे प्रदान किया है ।
[अन्य वर्ग उस ब्राह्मी चेतना को धारण करके उसको सुनियोजित करने मे असफल हो जाते हैं । अतः वे उसे पुनः ब्रह्मनिष्ठों को सौप देते हैं यभी उसका समुचित लाभ मिलता है ]
11-पुनर्दाय ब्रह्मजाया कृत्वी देवैर्निल्बिषम्‌ ।
ऊर्जं पृथिव्या भक्तवायो रुगायमुपासते ॥ ऋ 10-109-7 अथर्व 5-17-11
Such women are considered innocent of any crime, and if need arises their rehabilitation should be at state expense.
ब्राह्मी विद्धया को पुनः लाकर देवो ने बृहस्पति देव को दोषमुक्त किया है तत्पश्चात पृथ्वी के सारविततम अन्न (उयपाद) का विभाजन करके सभी सुखपूर्वक यज्ञीय उपासना करने लगे
[दिव्य वाणी व यज्ञीय प्रक्रिया से भूमि पर पदार्थो के वर्गीकरण तथा सदुपयोग का क्रम चल पड़ा । यह प्रक्रिया बार-बार दुहराई जाती है ]
12-नास्य जाया शतवाही कल्याणी तल्पमा शये ।
यस्मिन राष्ट्रे निरुध्यते ब्रह्मजायाचित्या ॥ अथर्व 5-17-12
Even the ruler protected/surrounded by hundreds of security force does not feel secure enough, to have a sound sleep in his chamber, in a Nation where females are commandeered/forced upon against their free will.
जिस राष्ट्र मे इस ब्रह्मजाया (ब्रह्मविद्धया) को जड़ता पूर्वक प्रतिबंध मे डाला जाता है , उस राष्ट्र मे सैकड़ो कल्याण को धरण करने वाली जाया (विदद्या) भी सुख की शिया प्रपट नाही कर पाती (फलित होने से वंचित रह जाती है )
13-न विकर्णः पृथुशिरास्तस्मिन्वेश्मनि जायते ।
यस्मिन्‌ राष्ट्रे निरुध्यते ब्रह्मजायाचित्या ॥ अथर्व 5-17-13
That nation/society becomes deaf/ignorant to the voice of the people and no intellectual scholars grow, where females are commandeered/forced upon against their free will.
जिस राष्ट्र मे ब्रह्मविद्धया कोजदता पूर्वक प्रतिबंधित किया जाता है उस राष्ट्र के घरो मे बड़े कान वाले ( बहुश्रुत) तथा विशाल सिरवाले (मेघावी) पुत्र उयपन्न नाही होते ।
14-नास्य क्षत्ता निष्कग्रीवः सूनानामेत्यग्रतः ।
यस्मिन्‌ राष्ट्रे निरुध्यते ब्रह्मजायाचित्या ॥ अथर्व 5-17-14
Chivalrous strong men do not show up in nations, where females are commandeered /forced upon against their free will.
जिस राष्ट्र मे ब्रह्मविदद्या को अज्ञानपूर्वक प्रतिबंधित किया जाता है उस राष्ट्र के वीर गले मे स्वर्णाभूषण धारण करके ( गौरव पूर्ण ) लड़कियो अथवा सतपरम्पराओ के सामने नाही आते ।
15-नास्य श्वेतः कृष्णकर्णो धुरि युक्तो महीयते ।
यस्मिन्‌ राष्ट्रे निरुध्यते ब्रह्मजायाचित्या ॥ अथर्व 5-17-15
By not being able to mount the horses in their chariots – to perform Aswamedh yagna – That nation/state loses face and influence in the world, where females are commandeered/forced upon against their free will.
जिस राष्ट्र मे ब्रह्मजाया को दुराग्रह पूर्वक प्रतिबंधित किया जाता है , उस राष्ट्र मे श्यामकर्ण (श्रेष्ठ) सफ़ेद घोड़े धुरे मे नियोजित होकर भी प्रशंषित नाही होते
[‘ अश्व ‘ शक्ति के प्रतीक हैं । ब्रह्म-विद्धया हीं समाज मे उन्हे श्रेष्ठ प्रयोजन मे नियोजित करने पर भी प्रगति नाही होती ]
16-नास्य क्षेत्रे पुष्करिणी नाण्डीकं जायते बिसम्‌ ।
यस्मिन्‌ राष्ट्रे निरुध्यते ब्रह्मजायाचित्या ॥ अथर्व 5-17-16
Water bodies do not sport lotus flowers and the lotus flowers do not bear seeds to propagate themselves, – The environment suffers, where females are commandeered/forced upon against their free will.
जिस राष्ट्र मे ब्रह्मविदध्या को जड़ता पूर्वक प्रतिबंधित किया जाता है , उस क्षेत्र मे कमाल के तालाब नाही होते और न ही कमाल के बीज उत्पन्न होते हैं ।
[ससकृतनिष्ठ व्यक्तियों के लिए ‘कमल’ श्रेष्ठ प्रतीक है । ब्रह्मविध्या हीं समाज मे आदर्श व्यक्तियों का विकास नही होता ]
17-नास्मै पृश्नि वे दुहन्ति ये ऽस्या दोहमुपासते ।
यस्मिन्‌ राष्ट्रे निरुध्यते ब्रह्मजायाचित्या ॥ अथर्व 5-17-17
Cows are no longer able to provide good quantities of milk, where females are commandeered /forced upon against their free will.
जिस राष्ट्र मे ब्रह्मजाया को जड़ता पूर्वक प्रतिबंधित किया जाता है उस राष्ट्र मे दूध दुहने के लिए बैठने वाले मनुष्य इस गौ ( पृथ्वी ) से थोड़ा भी (निर्वाह योग्य ) दूध (पोषण) नाही निकाल पाते ।
18-नास्य धेनुः कल्याणी नानड्‌वान्त्सहते धुरम्‌ ।
विजानिर्यत्र ब्राह्मणो रात्रिं वसति पापया ॥ अथर्व-5-17-18
Neither the cows bring welfare to society nor oxen get yoked, and without active participation of the women in the society, men are given to crime in night life.
जिस राष्ट्र मे ब्राह्मण विशिष्ट ज्ञान रहित (या स्त्री रहित) होकर रात्री (अज्ञान) मे पाप बुड्ढी से निवास करते हैं उस राष्ट्र मे न तो कल्याण करने वाली धेनु (धारक क्षमताए) होती हैं और न्भार वहाँ करने मे समर्थ (राष्ट्र की गाड़ी खीचने वाले ) वृषभ उत्पान्न होते हैं ।
यह अहि इसका सही अनुवाद गाय लिखा तो गाय पढलोगे क्या ? पत्नी लिखा तो औरत समझलोगे क्या ? मूरखों की तरह अनुवाद करते रहोगे और ब्राह्मणो को दूषित करने ल प्रयास करोगे तो क्या परिणाम होने वाला है अच्छे से पढ़ लो ।

Rigveda 6.44.18: The government should ensure that all boys and girls get good education, follow Brahmacharya and strengthen the society.
Yajurveda 10.7: Government should put special efforts to make all women into scholars.
Rigveda 3.1.23: Smart people should ensure that all boys and girls become scholars.
Rigveda 2.41.16: All girls should receive education from scholarly women.
Yajurveda 11.36: Parents should ensure good education of children – boys and girls – and then send them to scholars for a long period so that their enlighten the families and nation like sun.
Rigveda 1.152.6: The way mother nourishes her children with milk, scholars should nourish girls and boys with knowledge.
Yajurveda 6.14: Teachers should ensure that they inculcate noble qualities in their students (girls and boys) through dissemination of knowledge of Vedas.

I asked a question to the author of this post whether he really knows how to interpret the Vedas and that he had ever studied Yaska’s rules of interpreting the Vedas or has he did across Shaunaka muni’s anukramAnika which aids a student in the interpretation of the Vedas. Somehow my post seem to have been deleted.

Women of course have right to do Yajna and we have performed for my daughter, my wife and for other women, but it is not by reciting mantras themselves. There will be an ahgnihiotr or a udgatri priest who recites the mantras but the phala of it goes to the ones who are performing it. My point is that a woman can be a yajamana but not a hotr herself. There are issues with Sayana’s commentary on Rg Veda. And so is with Dayananda Saraswati too (I know you might not like my words). I really cannot fathom when you say that it is only for those who rationally think. While rationality on one side, if we were to interpret and follow what occurs to us intuitively or rationally, then any philosophy we derive out of such intuition becomes a personal philosophy but Vedas proclaim in unison a universal philosophy, applicable to all three periods of time.
BTW what is agniveer’s stand on this – whether Vedas are monotheistic or polytheistic?

But how do you know that what you are going ahead with is correct. It may be correct to you but not for others who also vouch by the Vedas. You have not even started debating but make a statement about going ahead and changing. This is not a level playing field.
