Hinduism – an obscene religion?- Know Vedas

It is possible that this post is based on the translations and commentaries of Islamic texts like Quran, Hadiths etc. as published by all major Islamic publishing sources. These are the publicly available translations that are used for promotion of Islam by prominent representatives.

We, however, believe that most of these texts have been wrongly translated, misinterpreted, misquoted or even have been tampered with and interpolated to suit the selfish designs of proponents of Islam after Muhammad. Thus, we believe that original Islam and original Quran of Muhammad are totally different from what have been propagated by his followers in name of Islam. There are few minority groups in Muslims whose scholars subscribe to our views and interpret/translate Islamic texts differently or even refuse to consider the available Quran and Hadiths as authentic. But these scholars themselves are considered Kafirs and are condemned by a dominant elite group of Islam. Thus, when we refer to Islam, we actually imply these dominant elites of Islam and not Muslims or all Islamic scholars in general.

Wherever we critically evaluate Muhammad, we imply the fictitious Muhammad propagated by these false texts or their wrong translations and not the original Muhammad. We have high regard for original Muhammad who stood for non-violence and tolerance. Similarly, when we analyze Islamic texts, we refer to these questionable translations/versions and NOT original texts.

Further, we have a sense of the highest level of brotherhood for Muslims in general. Wherever we use the word Muslim in a critical manner, it refers to false representatives of Islam and not Muslims in general. Readers are requested to keep this in mind to understand the correct perspective of such posts on this website.

Nowhere should they assume the words like Islam, Quran, Prophet etc. to be referring to original noble entities, unless it has been referred in a positive light. We restrict ourselves only to notions prevalent in minds of fanatics and those without reason.

India today has become the center-stage of conversion virus. China and countries beyond China are too unapproachable for this virus. And in rest of the world on west of India, already whatever conversion had to happen has happened. Now its only a game of jumping from one branch aka Christianity to another aka Islam and its minute sub-branches in those locations.

But in India, there a good match of Hindu and non-Hindu population so as to offer both an attractive number of potential followers, as well a large number of agents and support-base to carry on the mission of Allah or God. And most importantly, just as India is known to have produced the greatest legends of history, the soil is also very fertile for birth and nurture of traitors who take pride in self-immolation. What else could have ensured that destruction of a symbol of shame erected by a compulsive homosexual pedophile mass murderer and drug-addict called Babur becomes such a great issue in this country instead of being an event of pride! And then the impotent leadership coupled with loose controls ensure that any other Ajmal or Afzal can easily siphon in men, money, RDX and everything else needed to reduce proportion of Hindus, very easily. I can keep adding one reason after another. But that is not the purpose of this article.

To summarize, India offers the best climate to grow new followers for any foreign religion. Now religious Conversion is a very smart game. A large number of strategies are used with varied combination to achieve the goal of only one religion. One of the greatest ploys used these days for mass-level conversion activities is to showcase that Hinduism is the most obscene religion in world. Not that this ploy was not being used so far. But in recent times, this particular tactic has become much more prominent for a variety of reasons which are not relevant to be discussed here for sake of brevity.

But this is a very serious issue today. Huge number of Hindus, ignorant of their true Dharma, and duped by internal as well as external frauds, eventually end up starting to hate Hinduism due to this false propaganda. For them Hinduism is nothing more than vulgar love-making scenes between Radha and Krishna, worship of male organ in form of Shiva Linga, Vishnu and Shiva raping women, Mohini seducing Shiva, Brahma having relation with her daughter Saraswati etc etc. We have come across pamphlets being circulated these days across India showcasing these obscenities in Hinduism and appealing Hindus to embrace foreign religions to worship Only true God and achieve true salvation. More and more Hindus are starting to hate their foundations and even those who love Hinduism are not sure as how to explain these stories and defend their Dharma. And existence of communist sickulars only adds to this mess.

1. The very first point to ascertained even before delving into each allegation of obscenity is whether that comes under the purview of Dharma in first place? The concept of Dharma in Hinduism is completely different from blind belief system of Quran or Bible. The universal definition of Dharma accepted across ALL sections of Hinduism is the 11 fold path as propounded in Manu Smriti 6.92: Non-violence, Patience, Forgiving, Self-control, Non-Stealing, Purity, Control of Sense and Work organs, Intellect, Knowledge seeking, Truthfulness, Non-Anger.
The objective of this article is to put all these allegations in right perspective and offer a toolkit to all Dharma lovers to be able to defend the truth and counter the false propaganda.

ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING THAT TRANSGRESSES OR VIOLATES THIS 11 FOLD PATH IS NOT HINDU DHARMA OR HINDUISM.

2. The second touchstone of Dharma is Vedas. All Hindu texts very clearly and unambiguously mention that Vedas are the ultimate evidence. So ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING THAT IS AGAINST VEDAS IS NOT DHARMA.

Basically the above two touchstones are one and same but from slightly different perspectives.

3. The same touchstone is elaborated in a slightly different manner in Yam and Niyam of Yoga Darshan:
Yam – Non-violence, Truth, Non-Stealing, Brahmacharya (Self-control and NON-obscenity), Non-Hoarding

Niyam – Purity, Contentment, Putting strong efforts, Self-study or self-evaluation, Dedication to All Supreme.

So again, ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING THAT IS AGAINST YAM AND NIYAM IS NOT DHARMA.

4. Having defined these basic touchstones, which are accepted by all sections of Hinduism, answering these allegations become much simpler. Because now our stand is very clear – We do not defend them, we simply REJECT them.

Q: How do you then explain the vulgar stories in our texts as alleged by these conversion activists and sickulars?

A:

1. None of these stories appear in Vedas which form the foundation of Hindu Dharma.

2. Most of these stories appear in Purans or Ramayan or Mahabharat. Now except Vedas, NO OTHER book is considered to be divine in Hinduism. Further all these Purans or Ramayan or Mahabharat are NOT spared from adulterations in last 1000 years of foreign rule by perverts who had the singular agenda of destroying the cultural foundations of this country. So these texts can be taken authentic ONLY to extent they agree with Vedas. Rest is simply adulteration and has to be rejected. And it is ACTUALLY rejected by Hindus in practice.

Q: Can you explain how you claim that these texts have been subject to adulterations?

A: There are several evidences. For example:

1. Bhavishya Puran contains stories of Akbar, Victoria, Muhammad, Jesus etc. It has shlokas talking of Sunday, Monday etc. However these stories stop in late 19th century when printing became popular. This very clearly shows that shlokas continued to be added in this book.

2. Geeta Press Gorakhpur publishes Ramayan and Mahabharat and has marked a large number of shlokas as adulterated because they appear clearly out of context.

3. Interestingly Mahabharat 265.9.4 Shantiparva even claims that fraud people have added verses that talk of wine, meat-eating, vulgarity to demean the vedic religion.

4. Garud Puran Brahmakand 1.59 states that Mahabharat is being distorted to show vulgarity in Vedic Dharma.

etc etc.

Even a cursory reading of these texts is sufficient to make us realize the amount of adulterations that these books have been subject to. Further many of these stories have been mistranslated to suit the designs of fraud conversion viruses and their carriers.

Q: How can you claim that these texts do not form part of our Dharma?

A: I did not say that these texts do not form part of our Dharma. I said that they form part of our Dharma ONLY to extent that they agree with Vedas. The evidence is in society itself:

1. No one takes the new unabridged Purans seriously (except a very few people who have nothing to do with Hinduism and only want to showcase their supremacy on basis of a fake birth-based caste system. Actually these people are biggest hands-in-glove partners of conversion viruses who destroy from inside). The mainstream Hindu population or even their leaders do not even know the name of all Purans. It is difficult to get complete versions of Purans etc today.

ONLY ABRIDGED VERSIONS or SELECT PASSAGES from these books are available for mainstream population. So ask for Ramayan, and most Hindus will give you Ramcharitmanas. Ask for Mahabharat, and they will give you Geeta. Ask for Purans, and they will at best give you compilations of moral stories from these books. Which means that Hindus agree to these books ONLY to extent that they are moral and as per Vedas.

They may make mistakes due to ignorance, but goal is always to preach and practice within ambit of Vedic religion.

Q: Then why do Hindus worship Radha-Krishna and Shiva Linga if they reject the vulgar stories behind them?

A: No, Hindus don’t worship these entities in the sense that conversion viruses want us to interpret.

1. Hindus are basically simple people who easily trust others. That is why they got fooled by foreign invaders for centuries. So, the first instinct of a typical Hindu is to trust others. Unlike a typical Zakir-type Muslim who is trained to mistrust people unless they follow Quran and Rasul and nomadic Arabic traditions, a typical Hindu would trust any other person merely because he or she is a human being. This trustworthiness is a great strength but also a great weakness, especially when you are living in an area where there are too many mosquitoes flying around spreading dengue and malaria.

So like Agniveer site, Hinduism has been quite vulnerable to hacking and virus attacks. It is time that instead of trying to maintain the same site that has become prone to future virus attacks, we rebuild it from scratch keeping the same content but hardening the security policies to defend ourselves from future attacks and eradicate existing viruses.

2. Due to simple nature of Hinduism, Hindus have traditionally not been over-critical. They adopted and adapted worship methods over a period of time to seek goodness from everywhere. It is a different matter that they did not even realize that in the process they have drifted so far from original source and have become virus prone.

3. Radha means Success. There is a mantra in Yajurveda 1.5 that seeks Radha or Success from Ishwar to be able to stay resolved in accepting truth and rejecting false. Now Krishna was an icon of such a resolve in his life. Someone somewhere down the line symbolized this Radha (or success) in form of idols. The goal was noble, but in process we drifted from core foundations of Ishwar worship. Soon creativity kept being added, the Radha became a woman, stories were written to demean Krishna with a non-wife woman and the game continued. Simple Hindus continue to worship Radha Krishna even today with same pure feeling, completely unaware of the distortions that have happened in the process. Ask any Hindu about the scripture which talks of Radha and he will become silent. Hardly any Hindu knows about it. Now Radha does not appear in either Mahabharat or Harivansh or Bhagwat or any other authoritative text, to cite an example.

To a typical Hindu, Radha is symbol of purity even though he does not know why and how. Had Radha-Krishna relation been obscene in minds of Hindus, that obscenity would have been reflected in lives of Radha worshippers. But Krishna worshippers are monogamous, often Brahmacharis and avoid free mingling with opposite gender. Thus, for all practical matters, HINDUS REJECT ALL FALSE STORIES AND ALL FALSE BOOKS ON RADHA AND KRISHNA.

4. Shiva Linga means Sign of Purity. It started with an attempt to create idol of a Deepak. Now many Hatha Yogi practice concentration on tip of Deepak flame. The flame flickers due to wind. Hence an idol was created to practice concentration. Then some pervert imagined reproductive organs in the idol and created false stories. Gullible Hindus started worshipping this idol as symbol of purity completely unaware of mystery behind. A typical Hindu is not interested to know why and how. He simply accepts things at face value and tries to accept goodness from everywhere. No Hindu has ever read Shiva Puran and other texts associated with Shiva Linga. He simply goes to Shiva temple to offer his pure feelings to Ishwar. Period. Thus, for all practical matters, HINDUS REJECT ALL FALSE STORIES AND ALL FALSE BOOKS ON SHIVA LINGA.

5. Hindus basically believe that same truth is approached by different scholars in different manners. They thus easily admit anyone as scholar and start following him as well in illusion that they are only seeking goodness. So we have Hindus going to Ajmer Sharif to worship even a traitor who sided with Muhammad Ghori to defeat Prithviraj Chauhan. They would worship grave of Afzal Khan who was killed by Shivaji, the Great for his loots and rapes. The basic drive that propels Hindus to every form of worship is very honorable – to seek goodness from all side.

But as I said, unless you apply medical ointment, take pills and carry all precautions of not eating and drinking without being careful, it is very easy to catch Dengue in New Delhi today. The Commonwealth drama is not going to help and in fact make situations worse due to dug-up roads, congestion and dirty-water accumulation. Similarly, despite the hype that variety of small and big cults create, unless we stick to our basics of Vedas, take strong measures, and be careful it is easy to be infected the way Hindu society has become today.

In summary, Hindus worship only goodness. They seek this goodness in whatever form of worship it comes. They do not care about stories behind it. They do not bother about genesis and conspiracies behind these modes of worship, and simply seek goodness. Hence while Hindus should be very careful, it is also true that these stories and these books DO NOT FORM PART OF PRACTICAL OR THEORITICAL HINDUISM.

    • who so ever you are its better to stop these kind of articles …. you are creating more confusion among readers. please for God sake don’t defend on illogical reasoning. your intention of defending hindu dharma is understandable but don’t over do things . If you wana do something just stop misguiding people and teach whats good and don’t compare or write anything about other faiths . If you will behave like a hindu fanatic people will call you Sickular . hindu dharma believes in sarva dharma sambhav and vasudeva kutumbhkam . that should be the aim of every hindu follower.

      by keeping a feeling of hatred towards other faith you are deviating from the path of dharma . We all know there are 109 verses in quran written against infidels but that doesn’t mean we harm the message of other verses. we must fight ruthlessly against people who follow hatred and we must defend our religion and culture but we must not start criticizing people as a whole .

      Just ignoring people who spread these kinds of vulgar things about our divine religion is what we must aim at.. don’t start looking and searching for text with by which you can defend yourself … hinduism is a great religion which has given numerous other faiths like budhism , jainism , Sikhism etc.

      our victory is in following our own faith and religion with truthfulness and devotion. we must not get intimidated by people who say bad words about our faith. we must be firm followers our own faith that is what we must aim at . when it comes to fighting for righteousness we must unite and fight a fearsome battle to defend our faith. but don’t create stories own your own to defend our religion you are harming it more than others.

        The vedas indicate that the language of the scriptures are of three types: samadhi – which means that they are de facto explanations of what happened: kind of like a raw news feed, or a historical explanation that one deems is as factual as is possible.

        The second is guhya bhasha – allegorical language whose real meaning is hidden though it is in plain sight. So as to ensure that philosophical insights go only to those who are interested, and are inquisitive, guhya bhAsha is used – the others, who are content with only the story-telling part of it, are also entertained, going back home after being entertained. When presented with a deeper meaning, the latter go either “lolwut” or “shuryukan” and move on. The former, however, dig deeper and find a treasure trove of psychological and sociological insights.

        I know that this sounds sketchy unless I give you an example. Consider the Pandavas: five brothers. Allegorically, they represent the five aspects of consciousness: manas (desire), buddhi (intellect), ahankAra (ego), chitta (memory), chetana (higher-memory…this is a whole another book if I start to explain, but these two memories are like the RAM and the ROM of the computer…the RAM has information of one lifetime, and the ROM, of all lifetimes). Yudhistira represents the ego, Bhimasena the intellect, Arjuna, the desire (or heart), Nakula the memory, and sahadeva, the higher-memory.

        One who claims to be a messenger of God is expected to live a saintly life. He must not be given to lust, he must not be a sexual pervert, and he must not be a rapist, a highway robber, a war criminal, a mass murderer or an assassin. One who claims to be a messenger of God must have a superior character. He must stand above the vices of the people of his time. Yet Muhammad’s life is that of a gangster godfather. He raided merchant caravans, looted innocent people, massacred entire male populations and enslaved the women and children. He raped the women captured in war after killing their husbands and told his followers that it is okay to have sex with their captives and their “right hand possessions” (Quran 33:50) He raped kid and slave.He assassinated those who criticized him and executed them when he came to power and became de facto despot of Arabia. Muhammad was bereft of human compassion. The prophet Muhammad sanctioned a temporary marriage—sigheh in Iran and muta’a in Iraq— which can provide a legitimizing cover

        Muhammad produced no miracles and when pressed he claimed that his miracle is the Quran. Yet a cursory look at the Quran reveals that this book is full of errors. Quran is replete with scientific heresies, historic blunders, mathematical mistakes, logical absurdities, grammatical errors and ethical fallacies. It is badly compiled and it contradicts itself. There is nothing intelligent in this book let alone miraculous. Muhammad challenged people to produce a “Surah like it” or find an error therein, yet Muslims would kill anyone who dares to criticize it. In such a climate of hypocrisy and violence truth is the first casualty.

        Our Muslim brethren say that the eloquence of the Qur’an, the supremacy of its language and the beauty of its expression are conclusive evidence that the Qur’an is the Word of God because the inimitability of the Qur’an lies in its beautiful style of the Arabic language. We acknowledge that the Qur’an (in some of its parts and chapters) has been written in an eloquent style and impressive words. This fact is beyond any doubt and anyone who denies that does not have any taste for the Arabic language. Yet, on the other hand, we say that there are many clear language errors in other parts of the Qur’an pertaining to the simplest principles of style, literary expression and the well-known grammatical rules of the Arabic language and its expression.

        We even find in the Qur’an many words which do not have any meaning and are not found in any language. There is also a great deal of vocabulary which no one can understand. Muhammad’s companions themselves have acknowledged that, as we will see, but before we examine all these issues, I would like to clarify two important points.

        First, from a linguistic point of view, the eloquence of any book cannot be an evidence of the greatness of the book and proof that it was revealed by God, because what is important to God is not to manifest His power in the eloquence of style and the expressive forcefulness of the classical Arabic language, but rather to embody His power in the sublime spiritual meaning contained in that book which will lead the people to a high spiritual level which enables them to live together in peace and love. It helps them to enjoy an internal profound joy and spiritual, psychological fullness—abundant life. God does not care to teach the people of the Earth the rules and the principles of the Arabic language. God is not a teacher of a fading classical Arabic language, but the true living God is our spiritual leader in life of love and joy.

        Is the content of the Qur’an properly fit to be ascribed to God? All that we intend to do here is to determine that eloquence of style is not always an evidence that the words uttered come from heaven or that the one who has spoken them is a prophet. The German poet Schiller is not a prophet, and the Iliad and the Odessa are not composed by a prophet but rather by a Greek poet. The masterpieces of Shakespeare’s poems and plays in English literature which are translated and published more than the Qur’an by ten fold have not compelled the British to say that the angel Gabriel is the one who revealed them to Shakespeare.

        The second very significant point is that the eloquence of the Qur’an and the supremacy of the classical Arabic language in which the Qur’an is written have created difficulty in reading and understanding, even for the Arabs themselves. So what would we say about the non-Arabs even if they learn the Arabic language? The Qur’an will continue to be a problem for them because it is not sufficient for a person to learn the Arabic language to be able to read the Qur’an. He also has to study the literature of the Arabic language thoroughly. Thus, we find that the majority of Arabs themselves do not understand the classical language of the Qur’an which contains hundreds of words which confused Muhammad’s companions who mastered the language but failed to explain their meanings, along with many other words which even Muhammad’s companions could not comprehend.

So have you seen where you logic leads you to? Its our job to clarify all these misconceptions and propagate truth to these ignorant people who talk stories without any basis.     I have no words to describe the brilliance of this article — basic, and simple facts that ANYONE can understand. The one thing that stands out is that there is no bitterness or sense of antagonism towards other faiths… instead, simply the facts about the SANATAN DHARMA are being stated.

    What’s beautiful is the point that followers of SANATAN DHARMA do NOT look to justify the unjustifiable — instead, we REJECT IT OUTRIGHT. I think that sums up things nicely.

    I thank the Agniveer team for helping me to (re)discover of the truth. Upon the Agniveer ji’s recommendation (in other articles), I have ordered many books from http://www.vedicbooks.net — and my life is increasingly getting better by the day. Desire and greed for money has vanished, but by simply doing my best to follow the PERFECT principles of the Vedas, everything seems to be automatically improving for me — money, family unity, good results in all things, and basically, everything.

    The Vedas are absolutely perfect, and obscenity is out of the question. As Agniveer said, all detractors are challenged to find just ONE example of obscenity in the Vedas! The Vedas are the original source of knowledge and DHARMA, and that is why I choose SANATAN DHARMA as how I want to live my life.

      • WHICH IS MORE EVIL TO BURN A RELIGIOUS BOOK OR TO COMMAND THE BURNING AND SLAUGHTER OF THE FOLLOWERS OF OTHER RELIGIONS?

        The prophet Muhammad is known for his hatred towards Christians and Jews. He called them apes and pigs and ordered their slaughter and in one case he commaded his Mujahideen fighters to burn them with fire.

        While Osama bin Zayd, preparing his troops to invade the Christian lands, the prophet Muhammad commanded him saying, “attack them in the darkness of the dawn and fall on them killing and burn them with fire and invade them and return with the booty.” Those words of the prophet Muhammad could be found in the most authentic Islamic books which are known as the Mothers of the Islamic Books and approved by Al-Azhar Al-Sharif University. Just to mention few of them (Ibn Habib in al-Mahabir p 117, Ibn Kathir in al-Bedaiah wa al-Nihaiah p 139, 143, Ibn Said al-Nas in ‘Auion al-Atharig p 145, al-Suhili in Rawd Alanif p 24, Ibn Hisham p 245, and al-Tabari in Tarikh al-Rusul wa al-Milook p 156).

        Qur’an 5:17 “Verily they are disbelievers and infidels who say, ‘The Messiah, son of Mary, is God.”

        Qur’an 5:51 “Believers, take not Jews and Christians for your friends. They are but friends and protectors to each other.”

        Qur’an 9:29 “Fight those who do not believe in Allah or the Last Day, who do not forbid that which has been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, or acknowledge the Religion of Truth (Islam), (even if they are) People of the Book (Christians and Jews), until they pay the Jiziyah tribute tax in submission, feeling themselves subdued and brought low” [Another translation says] “pay the tax in acknowledgment of our superiority and their state of subjection.”

        Bukhari: V5 hadith no. 727 “When Allah’s Apostle became seriously sick, he started covering his face with a woolen sheet. When he felt short of breath, he removed it, and said, ‘that is so! Allah’s curse be on Jews and Christians.’”

        The Slaughter of the Jewish tribe of Bani Qurizah,

        Muhammad: Oh brothers of monkeys and pigs

        The trembling Jews replied: Oh Abu al-Qasim, you have not been a bad man!! (Ibid; 392, quoting from Ibn Kathir, al-Bedayia p. 120).

        The prophet called out to them: Oh brothers of monkeys. Does Allah disappointed you and send on you his curse?

        The Qurizah understood the message and replied in fear: Oh Abi al-Qasim, you have not been an ignorant man (Ibid, quoting from al-Bihaqi, al-Tarikh p. 582).

        The Jews of Qurizah continued to plead with Muhammad `and beg him to send to them one of their allies, a man by the name of Abi Libabah bin Abd al-Nuziar al-Awasi.

        When Abi Libabah entered their garrison, the men rose, the women wept, and the children cried to him. When he saw them he had pity on them.

        They said to him: oh Abi Libabah, do you think we should go out for the judgment of Muhammad?

        He said, yes, and then he passed his finger across his neck, which means, the slaughter.

        Then their leader, Ka’ab bin Asaad said to his people: Let us follow Muhammad and believe in him.

        They replied: We will not leave the judgment of the Torah forever.

        He said to them: Then let us kill our children and women and go out to Muhammad.

        They said: Shall we kill these harmless children and women? What is the good of life after them? (Al-Qimni 2004: 393-394, quoting from al-Tabari p. 583).

        Finally the men of Bani Qurizah decided to go out and meet Muhammad hoping that the other Medinian tribes would intercede with the Prophet and request him to send them with their women and children out of Yathrib as he did before with the other two Jewish tribes. As soon as the Jewish men emerged out of their garrison, the prophet ordered his men to bind them with ropes and march them in a long queue (Ibid: 394, quoting from al-Tabari, al-Tarikh p. 583). Then the prophet asked his men to dig many ditches inside the city (Ibid). After so many pleadings from the leaders of the Medinian tribes of al-Khaziriq and al-Awas, Muhammad agreed that Sa’ad bin Mu’aaz should decide the fate of the Jews (Ibid, quoting from al-Tabari p. 586).

        Al-Tabari narrated that Sa’ad bin Mu’aaz was dying. During the siege of the city, an arrow hit his hand and caused a cut on one of his nerves. The prophet tried to heal him by heating a nail and burning the nerve. In doing that Muhammad thought the bleeding would stop. However, the burning nail worsened the cut and caused the nerve to swell. When the Prophet repeated the same treatment the nerve exploded (Ibid: 395). In his dying state Sa’ad was carried to the Prophet. When Muhammad saw him he ordered the Jews to stand to their Master. “When Sa’ad was put down by his carriers the prophet asked him to judge on them. He said, I judge on them that the men should be put to death, their wealth divided, and their women distributed as jawari among the Muslims. The prophet said to him, you have judged on them with the judgment of Allah that has been given to you from seven heavens” (Ibid: 395, quoting al-Tabari, al-Tarikh p. 586).

        The horrifying slaughter was described by al-Tabari as follows:

        They brought first the enemy of Allah, Huaya bin Akhatab, while his hands were bound to his neck by a rope. (Huaya was the father of Safiya bint Huaya whom the Prophet killed her husband and brother and took her as his wife). When Huaya saw the Messenger of Allah, he said to him, I swear by God, I have never blamed myself for your enmity. Then, Huaya turned to the people and said, oh people there is no fear from the judgment and the Book of God, it is an honor written by God to the children of Israel to die as martyrs. Then, he sat down and his neck was beheaded… Ali bin Talib and al-Zibiar continued to strike their necks… It is assumed that their blood reached the oilstones that are at the market (Ibid: 396, quoting from al-Tabari, al-Tarikh pp. 588-589).

        The narrators of the sira differed in the number of the Jewish men who were killed on that fateful day. Some said six hundred, some seven hundred, some eight hundred, and some nine hundred (Ibid: 396). Al-Qimni states, “And we learn from our heritage a new thing happened in that slaughter. The slaughter was not restricted to men only, but included little boys too” (Ibid: 398 referring to al-Tabari p. 591). Then the victims were buried in those big holes or ditches that the Muslims dug.

        Truthofhinduism is a Qadiyani group and they dont believe Ahadith to be authentic. Qadiyanis are not given any response even by Muslims then why do you expect any response from Hindus? You could not give any Mantra of Vedas which supports your claim regarding Brahmin. However I will give you verse from Sunni Quran because I dont have its Qadiyani version, sorry for that. But am sure such verses will be common in both because your last prophet Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiyani and second last prophet Muhammad possessed almost similar character especially in the matter of Marriage and sex.

        Sunni Quran [33:50]- “O Prophet! We have made lawful to thee thy wives to whom thou hast paid
        their dowers; and those whom thy right hand possesses out of the prisoners of war whom Allah has assigned to thee; and daughters of thy paternal uncles and aunts, and daughters of thy maternal uncles and aunts, who migrated [from Makka] with thee; and any believing woman who dedicates her soul to the Prophet if the Prophet wishes to wed her;- this only for thee, and not for the Believers [at large]; We know what We have appointed for them as to their wives and the captives whom their right hands possess;- in order that there should be no difficulty for thee. And Allah is Oft- Forgiving, Most Merciful”

        Below is the most divine part of this verse

        “this only for thee (for Muhammad), and not for the Believers”

        Now lets look at those Ahadith, in which, Muhammad allowed his Mujahideen to rape women of enemies

        Abu Sirma said to Abu Sa’id al Khadri (Allah he pleased with him): Abu Sa’id, did you hear Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) mentioning al-’azl? He said: Yes, and added: We went out with Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) on the expedition to the Bi’l-Mustaliq and took captive some excellent Arab women; and we desired them, for we were suffering from the absence of our wives, (but at the same time) we also desired ransom for them. So we decided to have sexual intercourse with them but by observing ‘azl (Withdrawing the male sexual organ before emission of semen to avoid-conception). But we said: We are doing an act whereas Allah’s Messenger is amongst us; why not ask him? So we asked Allah’s Mes- senger (may peace be upon him), and he said: It does not matter if you do not do it, for every soul that is to be born up to the Day of Resurrection will be born.

        Book 008, Number 3373:

        Abu Sa’id al-Khudri (Allah be pleased with him) reported: We took women captives, and we wanted to do ‘azl (coitus interruptus) with them. We then asked Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) about it, and he said to us: Verily you do it, verily you do it, verily you do it, but the soul which has to be born until the Day of judgment must be born.

        Bukhari Volume 7, Book 62, Number 137:

        Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri:

        We got female captives in the war booty and we used to do coitus interruptus with them. So we asked Allah’s Apostle about it and he said, “Do you really do that?” repeating the question thrice, “There is no soul that is destined to exist but will come into existence, till the Day of Resurrection.”

        Regarding deletion of comments, do you know that I, in my previous births, convinced your second last prophet Muhammad and most importantly, your last prophet Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiyani about the truth of Vedas? And they converted to Vedic Dharm. But their Sahaba deleted those hadiths, which were the proof of their conversion! And now you people say that both of them did not convert to Vedic Dharm!

      Muslims are encouraged to live in the way of Muhammad, who was a slave owner and trader. He captured slaves in battle. He had sex with his slaves. And he instructed his men to do the same. The Qur’an actually devotes more verses to making sure that Muslim men know they can keep women as sex slaves than it does to telling them to pray five times a day.

      The Qur’an:
      Qur’an (33:50) – “O Prophet! We have made lawful to thee thy wives to whom thou hast paid their dowers; and those (slaves) whom thy right hand possesses out of the prisoners of war whom Allah has assigned to thee” This is a special command that Muhammad handed down to himself, allowing himself virtually unlimited sex. Others are limited to four wives, but may also have sex with an unlimited number of slaves, as the following verse make clear:

      Qur’an (23:5-6) – “..who abstain from sex, except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess…” This verse allows the slave-owner to have sex with his slaves. See also Qur’an (70:29-30).

      Qur’an (4:24) – “And all married women (are forbidden unto you) save those (captives) whom your right hands possess.” Even sex with married slaves is permissible.

      Qur’an (8:69) – “But (now) enjoy what ye took in war, lawful and good” A reference to war booty, of which slaves were a part. The Muslim slave master may enjoy his “catch” because (according to verse 71) “Allah gave you mastery over them.”

      Qur’an (24:32) – “And marry those among you who are single and those who are fit among your male slaves and your female slaves…” Breeding slaves based on fitness.

      Qur’an (2:178) – “O ye who believe! Retaliation is prescribed for you in the matter of the murdered; the freeman for the freeman, and the slave for the slave, and the female for the female.” The message of this verse, which prescribes the rules of retaliation for murder, is that all humans are not created equal. The human value of a slave is less than that of a free person (and a woman’s worth is also distinguished from that of a man’s).

      Qur’an (16:75) – “Allah sets forth the Parable (of two men: one) a slave under the dominion of another; He has no power of any sort; and (the other) a man on whom We have bestowed goodly favours from Ourselves, and he spends thereof (freely), privately and publicly: are the two equal? (By no means;) praise be to Allah.” Yet another confirmation that the slave is is not equal to the master. In this case it is plain that the slave owes his status to Allah’s will. (According to 16:71, the owner should be careful about insulting Allah by bestowing Allah’s gifts on slaves – those whom the god of Islam has not favored).

      From the Hadith:

      Bukhari (80:753) – “The Prophet said, ‘The freed slave belongs to the people who have freed him.'”

      Bukhari (52:255) – The slave who accepts Islam and continues serving his Muslim master will receive a double reward in heaven.

      Bukhari (41.598) – Slaves are property. They cannot be freed if an owner has outstanding debt, but rather used to pay off the debt.

      Bukhari (62:137) – An account of women taken as slaves in battle by Muhammad’s men after their husbands and fathers were killed. The woman were raped with Muhammad’s approval.

      Bukhari (34:432) – Another account of females taken captive and raped with Muhammad’s approval. In this case it is evident that the Muslims intend on selling the women after raping them because they are concerned about devaluing their price by impregnating them. Muhammad is asked about coitus interruptus.

      Bukhari (47.765) – A woman is rebuked by Muhammad for freeing a slave girl. The prophet tells her that she would have gotten a greater heavenly reward by giving her to a relative (as a slave).

      Bukhari (34:351) – Muhammad sells a slave for money. He was thus a slave trader.

      Bukhari (72:734) – Some contemporary Muslims in the West, where slavery is believed to be a horrible crime, are reluctant to believe that Muhammad owned slaves. This is just one of many places in the Hadith where a reference is made to a human being owned by Muhammad. In this case, the slave is of African descent.

      Muslim 3901 – Muhammad trades away two black slaves for one Muslim slave.

      Muslim 4112 – A man freed six slaves on the event of his death, but Muhammad reversed the emancipation and kept four in slavery to himself. He cast lots to determine which two to free.

      Bukhari (47:743) – Muhammad’s own pulpit – from which he preached Islam – was built with slave labor on his command.

      Bukhari (59:637) – “The Prophet sent Ali to Khalid to bring the Khumus (of the booty) and I hated Ali, and Ali had taken a bath (after a sexual act with a slave-girl from the Khumus). I said to Khalid, ‘Don’t you see this (i.e. Ali)?’ When we reached the Prophet I mentioned that to him. He said, ‘O Buraida! Do you hate Ali?’ I said, ‘Yes.’ He said, ‘Do you hate him, for he deserves more than that from the Khumlus.'” Muhammad approved of his men having sex with slaves, as this episode involving his son-in-law, Ali, clearly proves. This hadith refutes the modern apologists who pretend that slaves were really “wives,” since Muhammad had forbidden Ali from marrying another woman as long as Fatima (his favorite daughter) was living.

      Abu Dawud (2150) – “The Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) sent a military expedition to Awtas on the occasion of the battle of Hunain. They met their enemy and fought with them. They defeated them and took them captives. Some of the Companions of the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) were reluctant to have intercourse with the female captives in the presence of their husbands who were unbelievers. So Allah, the Exalted, sent down the Qur’anic verse: (Qur’an 4:24) ‘And all married women (are forbidden) unto you save those (captives) whom your right hands possess.'” This is the background for verse 4:24 of the Qur’an. Not only does Allah grant permission for women to be captured and raped, but allows it to even be done in front of their husbands.

      Ibn Ishaq (734) – A slave girl is given a “violent beating” by Ali in the presence of Muhammad, who does nothing about it.

      Ibn Ishaq (693) – “Then the apostle sent Sa-d b. Zayd al-Ansari, brother of Abdu’l-Ashal with some of the captive women of Banu Qurayza to Najd and he sold them for horses and weapons.” Muhammad trades away women captured from the Banu Qurayza tribe to non-Muslim slave traders for property. (Their men had been executed after surrendering peacefully without a fight).

      Umdat al-Salik (Reliance of the Traveller) (o9.13) – According to Sharia, when a child or woman is taken captive by Muslims, they become slaves by the fact of their capture. A captured woman’s previous marriage is immediately annulled.

      Additional Notes:

      Slavery is deeply embedded in Islamic law and tradition. Although a slave-owner is cautioned against treating slaves harshly, basic human rights are not obliged. The very fact that only non-Muslims may be taken as slaves is evidence of Islam’s supremacist doctrine.

      Of the five references to freeing a slave in the Qur’an, three are prescribed as punitive measures against the slaveholder for unrelated sin, and limits the emancipation to just a single slave. Another (24:33) appears to allow a slave to buy their freedom if they are “good.” (This is consistent with the traditional Islamic practice of wealth-building through the taking and ransoming of hostages, which began under Muhammad).

      A tiny verse in one of the earliest verses 90:13 does say that freeing a slave is good, however, this was “revealed” at a time when the Muslim community was miniscule and several of their new and potential recruits were either actual slaves or newly freed slaves. Many of these same people, and Muhammad himself, later went on to become owners and traders of slaves, both male and female, as they acquired the power to do so. The language of the Qur’an changed to accommodate slavery, which is why this early verse has had negligible impact on slavery in the Islamic world.

      Contrary to popular belief, converting to Islam does not automatically earn a slave his freedom, although doing so is said to increase a slave master’s heavenly reward (Muslim slaves are implied in Qur’an (4:92)). As far as the Islamic courts are concerned, a master may treat his slaves however he chooses without fear of punishment.

      By contrast, Christianity was a major impetus in the movement to abolish the age-old institution of slavery. Yet, abolition had to be imposed on the Islamic world by the West.

      Given that there was no abolitionary movement within the Islamic world, it is astonishing to see contemporary Muslims write their religion into the history of abolition. The lie – that the eradication of slavery had anything to do with Islam – has been repeated so often that even those who may parrot it are blissfully ignorant of its lack of factual foundation.

      There was no William Wilberforce or Bartoleme de las Casas in Islam. As mentioned, Muhammad, the most revered figure in the religion, practiced and approved of slavery. Even his own pulpit was built with slave labor. The second caliph, a companion of the prophet, was stabbed to death by a slave whose liberty he refused to grant. Caliphs since have had harems of hundreds, sometimes thousands of young girls and women brought from Christian lands and other places to service the desires of Islam’s religious equivalent of the pope in the most demeaning fashion.

      One of the myths about Islamic slavery is that it was not race-based, but in fact it was. Muhammad’s father-in-law, Umar, in his role as caliph, declared that Arabs could not be taken as slaves and even had all Arab slaves freed on his deathbed. This helped propel the vast Islamic campaign to capture slaves in Africa, Europe and Asia for importing into the Middle East.

      Literally millions of Christians were captured into slavery during the many centuries of Jihad against the West. So pervasive were the incursions by the Turks into Eastern Europe, that the English word for slave is based on Slav. Muslim slave raiders even operated as far north as England. In 1631, a French cleric in Algiers observed the sale of nearly 300 men, women and children, taken from a peaceful English fishing village:

      “It was a pitiful sight to see them exposed in the market…Women were separated from their husbands and the children from their fathers…on one side a husband was sold; on the other his wife; and her daughter was torn from her arms without the hope that they’d ever see each other again.” (from the book, White Gold, which also details the story of English slave, Thomas Pellow, who was beaten, starved and tortured into embracing Islam).

      The Indian and Persian people suffered mightily as well – as did Africans. At least 17 million slaves (mostly black women and children) were brought out of Africa by Islamic traders – far more than the 11 million that were taken by the Europeans. However, these were only the survivors. As many as 85 million other Africans were thought to have died en route.

      Most telling, perhaps, is that slavery is still practiced in the Sudan, Niger, Mauritania and a few other corners of the Muslim world – and you won’t see any of those Muslim apologists (who shamelessly repeat the lie that Islam abolished slavery) doing or saying anything about it!

      Since Muhammad was a slave owner and slavery is permitted by the Qur’an, the Muslim world has never apologized for this dehumanizing practice. Even Muslims in the West will often try to justify slavery under Islam, since it is a part of the Qur’an.

        By translation of Rishi, I meant interpretation of any Rishi translated in English by any scholar or by you. But since, you have not even heard the name of any Rishi, it will be difficult to expect any proof of Vedas from your side. You can use Translation by Rishi Dayanand, which is whole of Yajurved and 6 Mandals of Rigved, available on http://www.aryasamajjamnagar.org. Try to get Mantras from this portion, since rest others works on Vedas by Rishis are in Sanskrit and I doubt you know Sanskrit!

        Why Geeta? Should it not me, who will decide what should be my book? If you want to put away Ahadith in the same manner, you will not remain Muslim as per Darul Uloom and thats why you have to accept Hadith. And BTW, are there fabricated hadith in Sahih Ahadith too? If yes, name them “Galat” rather than Sahih!

        I have the entire transcript of our debate that took place, I can send it to you as a proof if you doubtful.

        Now, what do you have to say about that? If you say Mushafiq had no knowledge, then why are you posting his articles on you site? If you agree he was knowledgeable, then you have to accept the fact even he could not refute my claims, and the truth is before you.

        in order to understand if your an idolator or not, we first have to understand what idolatry is. Idolatry is any object or statue to whom a person bows down before his prayers regardless of whatever reason (concentration, direction, etc). So when muslims bow towards the kaaba, they are also classified as idolators. Now, when a person constantly bows towards the same idol, that stamps him or her as an idolator. Muslims always bow towards kaaba, so bowing consistently makes them an idolator. Who told you arya samaj bows in their prayers?

        If u want to bow before allah, why not simply look up and pray since according to u, hes sitting up there on is “throne”.

        Speaking of putting idols before you, I agree hindus do this, but the difference is muslims bow before on big idol whereas hindus bow before many smaller idols. But listen, this debate is about quality not quantity. It doesnt matter whether you bow before one idol or many, what matters is that are you bowing before an idol?
        It is like saying, suppose there are two men, Man A commits one sin and Man B, commits 12 sins, now, B is a greater sinner than A, but ultimately both men are sinners since they both committed a minimum of one sin.

        The same is the case with muslims, they bow before one idol and ignorant hindus and buddists bow before many idols but in both cases they are idolators.

        Whenever I tell a muslim, to go break the kaaba, they get nervous and start abusing me, this is another proof that they are idolators.

        I am pretty sure, we can worship Allah without facing or bowing towards the kaaba. Look at Arya Samaj, do they associate any idol in worshipping Ishwar?? If we, the Vedic followers can worship God, without facing any idol, why cannot you??

        Why cannot you get this fact straight through your mind that you are an idolator, otherwise go break the kaaba into pieces, only then I will call you a non idolator

        And another point I would like to make is that since Allah is against shirk, why does he not make you bow towards Him rather than the kaaba? We all know He doesnt live in the kaaba.

  5. Murthy pooja is another Vedic practice that have wrougt havoc on Hindus. The temples were and are centres of treasures and these was repeatedly looted and still being looted of course now by Govt in the name of governing temples. The proceeds of Temples which are treated as revenue is being used to fund Churches and Mosques, payment of salaries for Christian priests and Mullahas. And these men make no stone unturned in attacking Hinduism and employing all methods both fair and foul in seducing the Hindus to their fold. The Murthy pooja is also being attacked by men Specially Christians and Hindus are getting divided because of this UNVEDIC method of worship. Hindus who are disenchanted with Murthy worship join Christian faith. But the efforts being made to wean away the Hindus from this habit is getting nowhere and new and newer Moorthies, their worship are getting popular. ISCON IS ONE SUCH EXAMPLE. I am really sad about this and where this habit leads Hindus God only knows. Agniveer, kindly point out some remedies for Hindus to revert to Vedic worship.

  8. Why should any one think that Hinduism is an obscene religion. Obscenity does not live for long in a religion. Hindu gods like Ram preached and practised restraint. He went to the forest and lived there for 14 long years with his wife. If he wanted he could have fathered as many children during this period as they would have desired. But he practised self-restraint in youth in the forest. This is supreme example of self-sacrifice.

I applaud you for raising this topipc but your explanation is very poor, instead of discussing the points that anti-hindu people are exploiting, you just dismiss these pointc completely without giving real explanations.       • 1. Sanatan Dharma means Eternal Dharma. This should exist at all times – before Ramayan and Mahabharat and millions of years after it. This is the Dharma of Vedas. If Ramayan and Mahabharat be eternal Dharma, then what was the Dharma in Satyuga?

        2. Even Ramayan and Mahabharat announce vociferously that Vedas are the supreme.

        3. Ramayan and Mahabharat are historical texts – unfortunately plagued with lots of interpolations done in years of slavery. So these are to be interpreted as per Vedas. Only Vedas are the texts in the world which have a mechanism to ensure that not even a word can change.

        4. Ram, Krishna, Hanuman are our role models. They exemplified Vedas through their actions. This exactly should be our goal – to recreate their magic and transform the world. This would be their true worship as per their Vedas.

        The touchstone of Vedas is necessary because conversion viruses will keep bringing hundreds of references from scriptures that bring allegation of obscenity etc. Our job should be simple – instead of wasting time trying to justify them, we simply announce that if it is against Vedas, we reject it. If it can interpreted as per Vedas, we are fine with it.

So, the authenticity of the Quranic verses in tis regard and the claim that Abraham and Islamil built the Kaaba have been thrown out of the window,long back. Abraham never visited Mecca .         When Muhammad died Muslims gathered in Al-Masjid al-Nabawi and there were suppressed sobs and sighs. Abu Bakr came from his house at As-Sunh (a village) on a horse where he had been with his new wife. He dismounted and entered the Prophet’s Mosque, but did not speak to anyone until he entered upon ‘Aa’isha. In Sunni accounts he went straight to Muhammad who was covered with Hibra cloth (a kind of Yemenite cloth). He then uncovered Muhammad’s face and bowed over him and kissed him and wept, saying,

        Let my father and mother be sacrificed for you. By Allah, Allah will never cause you to die twice. As for the death which was written for you, has come upon you

        By Allah, he is not dead but has gone to his Lord as Musa ibn Imran went and remained hidden from his people for forty days. Musa returned after it was said that he had died.         Abu Bakr arrived and said,

        Sit down, O ‘Umar!

        But ‘Umar refused to sit down. So the people came to Abu Bakr and left Umar. Abu Bakr said,

        To proceed, if anyone amongst you used to worship Muhammad , then Muhammad is dead, but if (anyone of) you used to worship Allah, then Allah is Alive and shall never die. Allah said, “And Muhammad is no more than a messenger; the messengers have already passed away before him; if then he dies or is killed will you turn back upon your heels? And whoever turns back upon his heels!s, he will by no means do harm to Allah in the least and Allah will reward the grateful.” (3.144)

        ‘Umar said,

        By Allah, when I heard Abu Bakr reciting it, my legs could not support me and I fell down at the very moment of hearing him reciting it, declaring that the Prophet had died.

    Bernard Lewis, another modern historian, commenting on the common western Medieval view of Muhammad as a self-seeking impostor, states that

    “ The modern historian will not readily believe that so great and significant a movement was started by a self-seeking impostor. Nor will he be satisfied with a purely supernatural explanation, whether it postulates aid of divine of diabolical origin; rather, like Gibbon, will he seek ‘with becoming submission, to ask not indeed what were the first, but what were the secondary causes of the rapid growth’ of the new faith ”

    Watt rejects the idea of Muhammad’s moral failures from Meccan period to Medinian one and contends that such views has no solid grounds. He argues that “it is based on too facile a use of the principle that all power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely”. Watt interprets incidents in the Medinan period in such a way that they mark “no failure in Muhammad to live to his ideals and no lapse from his moral principles.”

        you’d find that most of my references on this site are hyperlinks which anybody can corroborate themselves for authenticity.

    On 9/11/1893 at World Parliament of Religions, Chicago he said to the gathering

Islamic Jihadis in India have been well-armed and well-funded by the neighbouring Islamic regimes, as part of Operation Topac – the late Pakistani President Zia-ul-Haq’s grandiose plot to balkanize India.

The emails refer to notorious Islamic conquerors of India (Mohammed bin Qasim, Mohammad Ghauri and Mahmud Ghaznawi) as their role-models, refer to Hindu blood as “blood to be the cheapest of all mankind” and taunt Hindus that their “[Hindu] history is full of subjugation, humiliation, and insult [at the hands of Islamic conquerors]“.

    The Indian Mujahideen’s emails warn the Hindus to “Accept Islam and save yourselves” and or else face a horrible fate: – “Hindus! O disbelieving faithless Indians! Haven’t you still realized that the falsehood of your 33 crore dirty mud idols and the blasphemy of your deaf, dumb, mute and naked idols of ram, krishna and hanuman are not at all going to save your necks, Insha-Allah, from being slaughtered by our [Muslim] hands?”

  29. i remebered a case where….a muslim family helped hindu and a hindu helped a muslim family….during the time of riots on 6 dec 1992…
    case- there was a hindu old lady who was alone at her home was being beaten up harshly by a group of muslim young ones… the muslim family next door protest and managed to make her escape…she went off… few days after … the very young boy of this family was lost…
    waiting for months,all lost their hopes… right in the midnight there was a knock …they opened and found their child standing with the same old lady holding her hand…
    what had happened actually???
    this old lady was a servant at mr . x house who was unfortunately a muslim and was a cousin of the same fellow…mr. x took an advantage of the riots between hindu and muslim and kidnapped their child in order to make him a slave…mr. x was a rich man, though both belonged to a same family had a dispute on a property matter , in which mr. x have all in his possesion…and this gentle and humble family believed that hindus must have killed their son. the old lady,recognised the child…she wait for a safe sight and not losing a chance, added sleeping pills to their food and managed to get the boy out from there… there are ‘n’ no. of such cases where there is a situational fault and a dirty politics.
    now just tell me one thing where was ALLAH and RAM at that moment???
    they may have signalled these fellows to help each other…
    this means they both don’t fight atleast to help their fellow beings…

        This is the problem with most of our Muslim brothers that they think of humans like binary number system. You think that either any person is one (perfect) or zero (nothing). The first type is called prophet in Islamic terms and second type constitute common people (Although this second type has further divisions, but lets leave it for now). But reality is quite different. Everyone lies between zero and one. No one is absolute zero or absolute one. For you, an idol worshipper will go to hell for sure even if he is a noble person in most of other activities. Allah assigns him zero regardless of his positive deeds. On the other hand a rapist, pedophile, invader will go to heaven regardless of his bad deeds because Allah is oft forgiving most merciful.

        But brother, logic says otherwise. Islam believes one person as perfect and then each command and act of this “perfect” person is accepted as perfect without an error and then starts the dirty game of defending sick practices like pedophilia, abduction, loot, and even rape. But logic says that a person is perfect (not in absolute terms) if his/her deeds are perfect. This is the way rational people think because there is no blind faith involved in this mechanism.

        We dont accept/reject anything just because that has been said by a prophet or Satan. Because we dont believe in prophets and Satan in first place. Rather we judge every act or claim of someone on moral and logical ground and then we decide whether something is worth accepting or rejecting. We dont reject the claim of anyone just because some Mantra has been quoted from Anti Hindu sites, rather we analyze the Mantra and try to give the true meaning of Mantra as per best of our knowledge. Similarly we dont accept everything written by Swami Dayanand just because he was a Rishi or scholar. We can differ with him at many places. We dont consider anyone other than Eeshvar to be perfect.

        But since you believe in this mechanism of binary number systems, I ask you, when it is proven that Zakir Naik has copied all the portion regarding prophecy of Muhammad in Hindu scriptures (please visit http://agniveer.com/645/naikexposed/ to read more) from Qadiyani Maulana Abdul Haque, why dont you ask the same question to Zakir Naik that why does he copy paste from Qadiyani sources? Does he accept that Qadiyani ideology is correct? And you have problems with Agniveer who has acknowledged the author of the work which he presented, but Zakir did not even do that! He simply acted like a thief!

    Manu Smriti: Interpolation A Detailed Analysis

    (Manu 2/8. But a learned man after fully scrutinising all this with the eye of knowledge, should, in accordance with the authority of the revealed texts, be intent on the performance of his duties.)

    Manu himself says that all learned persons after fully testifying with the eyes of knowledge and in accordance with authority tests the Vedas perform our duties. So acceptance of Manu smriti or rejection of Manu smriti must be defined after throughout analysis .My attempt to write this article is based on these assumptions only. Rest the readers will decide after going through it.

    Manusmriti is one of the religious texts commonly known not for its Vedic concepts but a text which supports castism, inferior status of women, meat eating etc. The book is considered by a good fraction of society as a biased book used by bunch of upper castes to prove that castism was prevalent in Vedic times. Most of us will also reach same impression if we read it throughout and will not accept it as religious text to be followed.

    Swami Dayanand great Vedic scholar writes in his famous magnum opus satyarth prakash that I believe in that part of Manu smriti which is not interpolated and is in accordance with the Vedas.

    After going through various religious texts from Vedas to Manu smriti he founded that what Manu smriti we reads today is not the original ideas of Swayambhu Manu , the first king of this life circle. He founded these texts as heavily interpolated, self contradicting, against Vedas, injudicious. He was pioneer in establishing the concept of interpolations in Manu smriti thus justifying not even with the name of Maharishi Manu but also with the millions of so called dalits who faced caste based discrimination due to interpolations. Swami Dayanand also contributed to upliftment of womanhood by rejecting those shaloks of Manu smriti which tries to frame inferior status of womanhood in society.

    We will understand the interpolations in better way after analysing the shaloks of Manu smriti.

    

    Manu And Shudra

    Manu maharishi was not biased and promoter of castism.

    He propagated varn vyastha which was based on merits not on basis of birth. In later times some ignorant Brahmins for fulfilling their wicked desires, to secure advantage over others framed interpolations in Manu smriti to prove castism based on birth.

    Following are the shaloks from Manu smriti which promotes varn vyastha based on merits.

    2/157. As an elephant made of wood, as an antelope made of leather, such is an unlearned Brahmana; those three have nothing but the names (of their kind).

    2/28. By the study of the Veda, by vows, by burnt oblations, by (the recitation of) sacred texts, by the (acquisition of the) threefold sacred science, by offering (to the gods, Rishis, and manes), by (the procreation of) sons, by the great sacrifices, and by (Srauta) rites this (human) body is made fit for (union with) Brahman.

    (The above shalok proves that by great dedication and works only a person can become Brahmin not by merely taking birth to a Brahmin father )

    The varn of a person was decided after completion of his education. Two births were considered for a person in Vedic period. First was when he was born to his parents second was after completing his education. It was after second birth (twice born) varn of person was decided. The following shalok from Manu smriti proves this concept.

    2/148. But that birth which a teacher acquainted with the whole Veda, in accordance with the law, procures for him through the Savitri, is real, exempt from age and death.

    2/146. Of him who gives natural birth and him who gives (the knowledge of) the Veda, the giver of the Veda is the more venerable father; for the birth for the sake of the Veda (ensures) eternal (rewards) both in this (life) and after death.

    (The second birth after education is considered as more important than the first birth)

    A person who remained uneducated with the knowledge of Vedas was considered a Sudra. Sudra varn was not based on birth but on merits.

    10/4. Brahmana, the Kshatriya, and the Vaisya castes (Varna) are the twice-born (educated) ones, but the fourth, the Sudra, has one birth only; there is no fifth (caste).

    2/172. He who has not been initiated with teaching of the Vedas is like a Sudra.

    Manu also advised not to insult person of lower Varna.

    4/141. Let him not insult those who have redundant limbs or are deficient in limbs, nor those destitute of knowledge, nor very aged men, nor those who have no beauty or wealth, nor those who are of low birth.

    Why Manu started varn vyastha?

    1/31. But for the sake of the prosperity of the worlds he caused the Brahmana, the Kshatriya, the Vaisya, and the Sudra varn origin in form of body of society as its mouth, its arms, its thighs, and its feet.

    (Few ignorant considers sudras origin from feet of god which is totally wrong as god is considered as formless in Vedas so from where feet’s or head of formless god will originate)

    Then god prescribed different occupations for different Varna.

    1/87. But in order to protect this universe He, the most resplendent one, assigned separate (duties and) occupations to those as done in a body by mouth, arms, thighs, and feet.

    1/88. To Brahmanas he assigned teaching and studying (the Veda), sacrificing for their own benefit and for others, giving and accepting (of alms).

    1/89. The Kshatriya he commanded to protect the people, to bestow gifts, to offer sacrifices, to study (the Veda), and to abstain from attaching himself to sensual pleasures;

    1/90. The Vaisya to tend cattle, to bestow gifts, to offer sacrifices, to study (the Veda), to trade, to lend money, and to cultivate land.

    1/91. One occupation only the lord prescribed to the Sudra, to serve these (other) three castes.

    (Manu considered anyone who is quality less as a Sudra so any uneducated person is fit only for service work for others so Manu advised service work for sudras.)

    Manu also advised changing of allotted Varna in Manu smriti. This option proves that varn vyastha was changeable and not based on birth but on merits.

    10/65. (Thus) a Sudra attains the rank of a Brahmana, and (in a similar manner) a Brahmana sinks to the level of a Sudra; but know that it is the same with the offspring of a Kshatriya or of a Vaisya.

    9/335. (A Sudra who is) pure, accompanies betters, gentle in his speech, and free from pride, and always seeks a refuge with Brahmanas, attains a higher Varna (Brahmana, Kshatriya or Vaisya) based on his qualities.

    4/245. A Brahmana who always connects himself with the most excellent (ones), and shuns all inferior ones, (himself) becomes most distinguished; by an opposite conduct he becomes a Sudra.

    (There is English proverb that company makes a man better) it seems that Manu smriti is origin of this proverb.

    2/103. But he who does not worships in morning, nor in the evening, is like a Sudra and he shall be excluded, just like a Sudra, from all the duties and rights of an Aryan.

    2/168. A twice-born man who, not having studied the Veda, applies himself to other (and worldly study), soon falls, even while living, to the condition of a Sudra and his descendants (after him).

    2/126. A Brahmana who does not know the form of returning a salutation, they must not be saluted by a learned man; they must be considered as a Sudra.

    Any Sudra can teach the other castes also

    2/238. He who possesses faith may receive pure learning even from a man of lower caste (Sudra), the highest law even from the lowest, and an excellent wife even from a base family.

    2/241. It is prescribed that in times of distress (a student) may learn (the Veda) from one who is not a Brahmana; and that he shall walk behind and serve (such a) teacher, as long as the instruction lasts

    Superior Rights given by Manu to sudras

    2/136. Wealth, kindred, age, (the due performance of) rites, and, fifthly, sacred learning are titles to respect; but each later-named (cause) is more weighty (than the preceding ones).

    2/137. Whatever man of the three (highest) castes possesses most of those five, both in number and degree, that man is worthy of honour among them; and (so is) also a Sudra who has entered the tenth (decade of his life).

    (In above shalok Manu gives respect to any Sudra who is in tenth decade of life.)

    3/116. After the Brahmanas, the kinsmen, and the servants have dined, the householder and his wife may afterwards eat what remains.

    (House holders are advised by Manu to dine after sudras or servants)

    8/335. Neither a father, nor a teacher, nor a friend, nor a mother, nor a wife, nor a son, nor a domestic priest must be left unpunished by a king, if they do not keep within their duty.

    8/336. Where another common man would be fined one karshapana, the king shall be fined one thousand; that is the settled rule.

    8/337. In (a case of) theft the guilt of a Sudra shall be eightfold, that of a Vaisya sixteen fold, that of a Kshatriya two-and-thirtyfold,

    8/338. That of a Brahmana sixty-fourfold, or quite a hundredfold, or (even) twice four-and-sixtyfold; (each of them) knowing the nature of the offence.

    (Manu advises strict punishment for a higher varn Brahman than a lower varn Sudra. The above shaloks proves that Manu was not biased for sudras. He considered sin as bigger one for learned one than for ignorant one)

    Following are the examples of changing of varn vyastha in past.

    Rishi Brahma son Manu swayambhu himself born to a Brahman became Kshatriya king.

    Manu eldest son Priyavrat became king, a Kshatriya. Out of his ten sons seven became kings while three became Brahman. Their names were Mahavir, Kavi and Savan. (Ref bhagwat puran chap.5)

    Kavash –ailush was born to a Sudra and attained varn of a Rishi. He became mantra-drashta to numerous Vedic mantras in Rig-Veda 10th Mandal.

    Jabala’s son Satyakaam born from unknown father became Rishi by his qualities.

    In similar way son of a Dasi (maid) Kanav became a Rishi.

    Matang became a Rishi after his birth in low Varna.

    Maharishi Valmiki was born in inferior Varna and became Rishi.

    Mahatma Vidur was born to a Dasi (maid) and became prime minister of Dhritrasthra.

    Raja Vishavnath a Kshatriya became a Brahman Rishi Vishwamitra

    There are many examples of varn vyastha to inferior level.

    Ravan king of Lanka was son of a Brahmin Rishi Pultasya.

    Shri Ram ancestor Raja Raghu’s son Pravidh was declared inferior varn due to lack of qualities.

    Shri ram ancestor Raja Samar’s son Asmanjhas was declared Sudra due to his bad qualities.

    Now compare the above shaloks with the below ones from Manu smriti

    9/317. A Brahmana, be he ignorant or learned, is a great divinity, just as the fire, whether carried forth (for the performance of a burnt-oblation) or not carried forth, is a great divinity.

    9/319. Thus, though Brahmanas employ themselves in all (sorts of) mean (inferior)

    Occupations, they must be honoured in every way; for (each of) them is a very great deity.

    8/20. A Brahmana who subsists only by the name of his caste (gati), or one who merely calls himself a Brahmana (though his origin be uncertain), may, at the king’s pleasure, interpret the law to him, but never a Sudra.

    8/21. The kingdom of that monarch, who looks on while a Sudra settles the law, will sink (low), like a cow in a morass.

    8/270. A once-born man (a Sudra), who insults a twice-born man with gross invective, shall have his tongue cut out; for he is of low origin.

    8/271. If he mentions the names and castes (gati) of the (twice-born) with contumely, an iron nail, ten fingers long, shall be thrust red-hot into his mouth.

    8/272. If he arrogantly teaches Brahmanas their duty, the king shall cause hot oil to be poured into his mouth and into his ears.

    8/417. A Brahmana may confidently seize the goods of (his) Sudra (slave); for, as that (slave) can have no property, his master may take his possessions.

    3/156. He who teaches for a stipulated fee and he who is taught on that condition, he who instructs Sudra pupils and he whose teacher is a Sudra, he who speaks rudely, the son of an adulteress, and the son of a widow,

    4/80. Let him not give to a Sudra advice, nor the remnants (of his meal), nor food offered to the gods; nor let him explain the sacred law (to such a man), nor impose (upon him) a penance.

    4/81. For he who explains the sacred law (to a Sudra) or dictates to him a penance, will sink together with that (man) into the hell (called) Asamvrita.

    4/99. Let him not recite (the texts) indistinctly, nor in the presence of Sudras; nor let him, if in the latter part of the night he is tired with reciting the Veda, go again to sleep.

    The above examples proves that interpolations had been done in Manu smriti and if in a single book two different self contradicting statements are given then it’s definite that the unacceptable one of them is false. Manu smriti advices sudras based on merits not on basis of birth, varn decided after completion of studies, right of change of Varna’s, stricter punishment for upper non sudras. Thus how can we blame Manu smriti of biased towards sudras. It is interpolations which are responsible for such heinous crime and to be rejected.

    Manu And Woman

    Stand of Manu smriti on womanhood must be analysed by unbiased way. The ignorant group of Brahmans tried to frame superiority of man over women and interpolated many shaloks in Manu smriti. We will understand this foul play by reading following shaloks.

    Women are given preference ahead of others.

    3/56. Where women are honoured, there the gods are pleased; but where they are not honoured, no sacred rite yields rewards.

    9/26. Those wives or striyah who bears children, who secure many blessings, who are worthy of worship and who irradiate (their) dwellings by prosperity, there is no difference between them and goddesses of fortune.

    2/ 138. Way must be made for a man in a carriage, for one who is above ninety years old, for one diseased, for the carrier of a burden, for a woman, for a Snataka(educated), for the king, and for a bridegroom.

    3/114. Without hesitation he may give food, even before his guests, to the following persons, (viz.) to newly-married women, to infants, to the sick, and to pregnant women.

    Women are ranked important in family.

    3/60. In that family, where the husband is pleased with his wife and the wife with her husband, happiness will assuredly be lasting.

    3/62. If the wife is radiant with happiness, the whole house is heaven; but if she is destitute of happiness, all will appear hell.

    3/59. Hence men, who seek (their own) welfare, should always honour women on holidays and festivals with (gifts of) ornaments, clothes, and (dainty) food.

    3/55. Women must be honoured and adorned by their fathers, brothers, husbands, and brothers-in-law, who desire (their own) welfare.

    9/13. Drinking (spirituous liquor), associating with wicked people, separation from the husband, rambling abroad, sleeping (at unseasonable hours), and dwelling in other men’s houses, are the six causes of the ruin of women.

    If women are not happy in family that family is perished.

    3/57. Where the female relations live in grief, the family soon wholly perishes; but that family where they are not unhappy ever prospers.

    3/58. The houses, on which female relations, not being duly honoured, pronounce a curse, perish completely, as if destroyed by magic.

    Women are the source of happiness in a family.

    9/28. Offspring’s, the due performance on religious rites, faithful service, highest conjugal happiness and heavenly bliss for the ancestors and oneself, depend on one’s wife alone.

    Never quarrel with your wife.

    4/180. With his father and his mother, with female relatives, with a brother, with his son and his wife, with his daughter and with his servants, let him not have quarrels.

    No one should leave their wives.

    8/389. Neither a mother, nor a father, nor a wife, nor a son shall be cast off; he who casts them off, unless guilty of a crime causing loss of caste, shall be fined six hundred (panas).

    Son and daughter are equal as per Manu smriti.

    9/130. A son is even (as) oneself, (such) a daughter is equal to a son; how can another (heir) take the estate, while such (an appointed daughter who is even) oneself, lives?

    9/131. But whatever may be the separate property of the mother, that is the share of the unmarried daughter alone; and the son of an (appointed) daughter shall take the whole estate of (his maternal grandfather) who leaves no son.

    9/192. But when the mother has died, all the uterine brothers and the uterine sisters shall equally divide the mother’s estate.

    9/212. His uterine brothers, having assembled together, shall equally divide it, and those brothers who were reunited (with him) and the uterine sisters.

    Remarriage allowed in Manu smriti.

    9/176. If she be (still) a virgin, or one who returned (to her first husband) after leaving him, she is worthy to again perform with her second (or first deserted) husband the (nuptial) ceremony.

    Women should beget husband of her choice and good qualities.

    9/90. Three years let a damsel wait, though she is marriageable; but after that time let her choose for herself a bridegroom of her choice.

    9/89. (But) the maiden, though marriageable, should rather stop in (the father’s) house until death, than that he should ever give her to a man destitute of good qualities.

    Care of alone women prescribed by government in Manu smriti and any one depending on women is consider as sinner.

    8/28. In like manner care must be taken of barren women, of those who have no sons, of those whose family is extinct, of wives and widows faithful to their lords, and of women afflicted with diseases.

    8/29. A righteous king must punish like thieves those relatives who appropriate the property of such females during their lifetime.

    3/52. But those (male) relations, who, in their folly, live on the separate property of women, (e.g. appropriate) the beasts of burden, carriages, and clothes of women, commit sin and will sink into hell.

    Hard punishment for crime against womanhood

    8/367. But if any man through insolence forcibly contaminates a maiden, two of his fingers shall be instantly cut off, and he shall pay a fine of six hundred (panas).

    8/323. For stealing men of noble family and especially women and the most precious gems, (the offender) deserves corporal (or capital) punishment.

    8/352. Men who commit adultery with the wives of others, the king shall cause to be marked by punishments which cause terror, and afterwards banish.

    9/232. Forgers of royal edicts, those who corrupt his ministers, those who slay women, infants, or Brahmanas, and those who serve his enemies, the king shall put to death.

    Lastly all religious rituals are ordered by Manu to not to complete without wife.

    9/96. To be mothers were women created, and to be fathers men; religious rites, therefore, are ordained in the Veda to be performed (by the husband) together with the wife.

    Women are advised not to live alone in view of danger.

    4/149. She must not seek to separate herself from her father, husband, or sons; by leaving them she would make both (her own and her husband’s) families contemptible

    Now read these few shaloks which are from interpolated Manu smriti.

    2/213. It is the nature of women to seduce men in this (world); for that reason the wise are never unguarded in (the company of) females.

    5/ 154. Though destitute of virtue, or seeking pleasure (elsewhere), or devoid of good qualities, (yet) a husband must be constantly worshipped as a god by a faithful wife.

    5/ 157. At her pleasure let her emaciate her body by (living on) pure flowers, roots, and fruit; but she must never even mention the name of another man after her husband has died.

    9/ 17. (When creating them) Manu allotted to women (a love of their) bed, (of their) seat and (of) ornament, impure desires, wrath, dishonesty, malice, and bad conduct.

    The above examples proves that interpolations had been done in Manu smriti and if in a single book two different self contradicting statements are given then it’s definite that the unacceptable one of them is false. Manu smriti mentions equal status, good conduct, equal rights, right to remarriage for womanhood while the interpolations mentions totally wrong.

    So interpolations are to be rejected.

    • Islamic paradise and hell. This has been elaborated in detail in many sites and books, so we shall keep it brief here.
      Islamic Paradise

      1. In Paradise, no one has to put efforts and no one gets tired. One gets bliss without efforts and forever.

      2. There are water-streams below the Paradise and they shall live their forever who obey the Allah and Muhammad.

      3. The lucky ones shall live in Paradise till sky and earth remain. (Surate Hud 107)

      But as we saw in Judgment Day, the sky and earth have already been destroyed. Thus either this is a blatant contradiction or a subtle hint that all these hoax of Paradise is hoax indeed!

      Also when enjoyment is forever, what was the point of Allah doubling the rewards? Perhaps Prophet did not know maths.

      4. There are gardens, dry fruits, drinks and beautiful boys with drooping eyes (Surate Saad 50-52)

      5. Surate Wakiya also states that there would be boys who shall carry drinks. They would get dry fruits and meat. They will get women who are fair, big-eyed like hidden pearls, luxurious beds and these women would be of your age.

      6. Surate Kahaf 30 states that there shall be streams of water, they shall wear jewels, thin green muslin and relax!

      7. Surate Sukhan says that these virgins shall be married to them. Surate Dahar says that young boys shall also remain around.

      Some doubts:
      a. What more is great about Paradise except that which is available to wealthy Sheikhs of Arab? Wine, women, clothes, beds, boys etc?

      b. What about excretory system of body. With so much food and drink, how will that be ejaculated from system? And without efforts, why should it not lead to diseases?

      c. If someone says that there would be no urine and shit in Paradise, then will the wine evaporate after touching the tongue? Can one explain the mechanism

      d. What about women? What will they enjoy? Will they remain virgin or will be married?

      Will they marry their old husbands or new ones? What if their old husbands went to Hell?

      e. What will be age of people in Paradise? What about those who died in wombs?

      f. And what about animals, insects, reptiles, birds, fish etc? Will they become human or will have different Heaven?

      g. What if people in Paradise start doing evil acts like fighting with each other? If one says that this will not happen because Allah will make their minds pure, then why not also make minds of Kafir pure and put them in Paradise as well?

      8. What about those celibate people who are not interested in wine and women? Will they live as Brahmcharis?

      9. From where will these boys and virgins come in Paradise? Are they already there? Each Momin (good Muslim) is promised 72 virgins!

      10. I fail to understand why the Paradise contains no latest gadgets and means of entertainment that were discovered after Muhammad’s death? For example, cars, computers, electricity, cinema, ipods, air conditioners, internet, blue films and food items like pizza, burger, ice creams etc etc? Is it that construction of Paradise completed 1400 years ago and Allah decided to give no one the contract of up-gradation of facilities?

      Is it a Paradise or an antique sex-Haven? Because a modern Sheikh can avail better enjoyments today than what Allah promises! Friends, it is obvious that Quran only promises what was known 1400 years ago to the tribes of Arab. What more is required to prove that there is not even an element of divinity about Quran! When it fails to mention what humans have created merely 1400 years after Quran and hence details such an oldie Paradise, how can one expect it to be last word of Allah forever till end of the world!

      In Vedas, concept of Paradise is different. Good act is Paradise in itself because it leads to bliss. As a soul improves its deeds, its ignorance is removed. When all ignorance is removed, it is able to understand Ishwar and its relation with Ishwar properly and reaches a state of bliss. This is Moksha or salvation.

      In Vedic salvation, lust of wine, women, sex etc are considered obstacles because they increase the ignorance and hence grief. The key of ultimate bliss is ultimate self-control and rise above these basal animal instincts and lusts.

      May our Muslim brothers and sisters seek this true Paradise!

      Islamic Hell

      Let us also briefly understand the Islamic Hell.

      1. Islamic Hell is basically a big fireplace. Bad people or those whom Allah has destined shall be thrown into this fire.

      2. No recommendation for relief shall be accepted. (It shows that recommendations were quite popular in Muhammad’s times to avoid punishment)

      3. Kafirs shall not be helped in any manner. Why? Are they not creations of Allah? Who put veil on their hearts than Allah as per Quran?

      4. Kafirs will have to feed themselves with boiling water and stay thirsty like camel.

      5. Hell gets angry when Kafirs shout in pain. Hell has 70,000 gardens where Kafirs are dragged by Angels.

      Doubt – what about angels? Will they keep dragging Kafirs like bonded labors for eternity?

      6. Kafirs shall remain in Hell forever. Then what is the point of doubling their griefs, as promised by Quran? Can eternity be double of any number?

  40. 1. “lingam” is one of the most misunderstood motifs of Hinduism. It has been subject to such a bad smear campaigning by Westerners, especially missionaries, that even Merriam-Webster dictionary defines it as a stylized phallic symbol (whatever that might mean!). Linga actually means a “mark” in Sanskrit, is one of the few examples of an aniconic motif in Hinduism. (more accurately, a differentiating mark…It is a symbol that points to an inference. The Linga is only the outward symbol of the formless being, Lord Siva) .Also, many of these smear campaigners take their views from the obscure left hand tantric sects to make fun of lingam. It is as if taking the views of the obscure Church of Satan, who reversed certain verses of Bible, and showing them to be equivalent of mainstream christian beliefs.

    Monier Williams, a professor of Sanskrit at Oxford University, who initially believed it to be a symbol of Phallic worship, later said that before Western invasion of India, “the symbol of linga, is “never in the mind of a Saiva ( or Siva-worshipper) connected with indecent ideas, nor with sexual love.”

    Swami Vivekananda gave by far the best rebuttal to Western claims that it might be a symbol of phallic worship, by giving proof from the vedas.

    Swami Vivekananda gave a lecture at the Paris Congress of the History of Religions in 1900 during which he refuted the statements of some Western scholars that referred to Shiva linga as phallic worship. Vivekananda’s words at the congress were in connection with the paper read by Mr.Gustav Oppert, a German Orientalist, who tried to trace the origin of the Shalagrama-Shila and the Shiva-Linga to phallicism. To this Vivekananda objected,adducing proof from the Vedas, and particularly the Atharva-Veda Samhita, to the effect that the Shiva-Linga had its origin in the idea of the Yupa-Stambha or Skambha—the sacrificial post, idealized in Vedic ritual as the symbol of the Eternal Brahman. According to Vivekananda, the explanation of the Shalagrama-Shila as a phallic emblem was an imaginary invention. Vivekananda argued that the explanation of the Shiva-Linga as a phallic emblem was brought forward by the most thoughtless, and was forthcoming in India in her most degraded times, those of the downfall of Buddhism.

    Swami Sivananda, also explains why equating Siva Lingam with the phallus is a mistake. According to him, “This is not only a serious mistake, but also a grave blunder. In the post-Vedic period, the Linga became symbolical of the generative power of the Lord Siva. Linga is the differentiating mark. It is certainly not the sex-mark. You will find in the Linga Purana: Pradhanam prakritir yadahur-lingamuttamam; Gandhavarnarasairhinam sabda-sparsadi-varjitam—The foremost Linga which is primary and is devoid of smell, colour, taste, hearing, touch, etc., is spoken of as Prakriti (Nature).”

    H.H.Wilson, who is a prolific writer & translator of numerous ancient Hindu scriptures (he prepared the 1st Sanskrit-English dictionary), agrees with him. According to him,

    “Although, however, the Linga holds a prominent place…the spirit of the worship is as little influenced by the character of the type as can well be imagined. There is nothing like the phallic orgies of antiquity: it is all mystical and spiritual. The Linga is twofold, external and internal. The ignorant, who need a visible sign, worship Siva through a ‘mark’ or ‘type’–which is the proper meaning of the word ‘Linga’–of wood or stone; but the wise look upon this outward emblem as nothing, and contemplate in their minds the invisible, inscrutable type, which is Siva himself. Whatever may have been the origin of this form of worship in India, the notions upon which it was founded, according to the impure fancies of European writers, are not to be traced in even the Saiva Puránas.”

    The famous novelist, Christopher Isherwood, puts an interesting spin about the misinterpretation of the linga as a sex symbol.

    “It has been claimed by some foreign scholars that the linga and its surrounding basin are sexual symbols, representing the male and the female organs respectively. Well — anything can be regarded as a symbol of anything; that much is obvious. There are people who have chosen to see sexual symbolism in the spire and the font of a Christian church. But Christians do not recognize this symbolism; and even the most hostile critics of Christianity cannot pretend that it is a sex-cult. The same is true of the cult of Shiva.

    It does not even seem probable that the linga was sexual in its origin. For we find, in the history both of Hinduism and Buddhism, that poor devotees were accustomed to dedicate to God a model of a temple or tope (a dome-shaped monument) in imitation of wealthy devotees who dedicated full-sized buildings. So the linga may well have begun as a monument in miniature.…One of the greatest causes of misunderstanding of Hinduism by foreign scholars is perhaps a subconsciously respected tradition that God must be one sex only, or at least only one sex at a time.”

    Finally, Britannica encyclopedia has to say this about the linga:

    “The linga was originally understood as a representation of the phallus, as sculptures from the early centuries of the Common Era make clear, but many—probably most—modern Hindus do not think of the linga in these terms. In fact, the stylization of the linga into a smooth cylindrical mass asserts a distinctively aniconic meaning, quite by contrast to the murtis (deities in image form) that serve otherwise as the most important foci of Hindu worship. This interplay is found in Shaivite temples, where the linga is apt to be at the centre, surrounded by a panoply of murtis.”

      • Caught you with your lies first of all this link you have given has clearly said that Shivalingam means symbol of Shiva and another thing that this link says is that Lingam Puran and Skanda Puran says lingam means phallus of shiva, which is clearly wrong. Lingam puran and Skanda puran never says Lingam means Phallus, so either this site is created by a NON-HINDU or he has no knowledge of Vedas or Puran.

      1. Where did you find Shri Ram as Bhagvan or Eeshvar in the articles on Agniveer? We tell Muslims to follow monotheism because they are polytheists.   49. WOW,MUINZ i love ISLAM thats the reason i embraced.I was a christian before who use to believe in trinity.
    I looked for buddhism and hinduism but all of them do believe in more than ONE GOD and i found real peace in ISLAM..

      Many of my friends who are not associated with the Arya Samaj or know nothing about its recent foundations by Swami Dayanandi Saraswati who was doing nothing but preaching the same Vedic truth that had been lost to the world since a long time.

      People often enquire of me if what Agnivesh actually represents the Arya Samaj and its beliefs. Well for that a single word answer would be NO. Swami Dayananda Sarwati was probably the first social reformer born in the modern age during Imperial British rule who recognized and studies the teachngs of Islam and Christianity and presented them to the world. He realised that these philosophies had the potential of destroying not only our nation but also the entire world, as they are basically anti-humanist philosophies that guise themselves as humanistic philosohies.

      This crude man Agnivesh has no knowlege of the Shtras is basically a self made Demmague who represents the Fifth Column with the broader Vedic society. What beliefs he professes cannot be said, but given his soft talk about Islam and saying that the Koran is the word of Ishwar, certainly does point towards his probable belief system.

      People lke Agnivesh are not just irritants but also dangerous as he can easily fool religious people into anti national Hindu hating bigots who hate everything about themselves. This man Agnivesh is always eager to speak about the “ills” of Vedic Dharma and how bad Hindus are while his tongue can’t stop praising how great Muslims are and how superior his cuture is.

      It is thus no wonder that the Indian Media and all enemies of Hindus invite Agnivesh and other self styled Demagogues like him to speak at various places. Why is it that genuine Arya Samajis or Hindus from other denominations are not invited by these media houses to these talk shows. The reason is simple, this man has sold his soul and the media handlers know this. They are basicall using him to make an Ocre clad man speak ill of Hindus.

      Let us not be fooled by the propaganda of the Media and those who have always wished us harm.

      Can you tell me what a supposed Vedic is doing in this gathering of meat eaters?
