Q: What do you consider as the greatest word in all human dictionaries?
A: Om or Aum or ॐ or ओम् or ओ३म् .
Q: Oh, the Hindu chant of Om?
A: There is nothing Hindu or Muslim or Christian about it. Om – in its variants – forms part of all major cultures. It symbolizes goodness or power or meditation or respect.
Hindus use it as a chant for all mantras and bhajans and are more popularly associated with Om.
Christians and Jews use it as ‘Amen’ to denote strong affirmation.
Our Muslim brothers and sisters use it as ‘Aamin’.
Buddhists use it as Om Mani Padme Hum.
Sikhism is based on fundamental tenet of ‘Ik Omkar’ or One Om.
Omni which forms root of so many words implies infinity or ubiquity or tremendous presence. For example, omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient etc.
Thus Om – like its source Vedas – is beyond all later day religious or cultural divisions and is for entire humanity just as air, water, sunlight, blessings of Ishwar, love of mother, compassion for fellow beings.
Q: Is Om found in Vedic texts?
A: Yes, it is derived from Vedas and commended in other Vedic texts.
For example, Om is mentioned in following Mantras – Yajurveda 2.13, 40.15, 40.17, Rigveda 1.3.7
It is praised in several Upanishads and Geeta. Mandukyopanishad is dedicated to glory of Om.
Q: What does this Om mean?
A: The Vedic culture unequivocally states that Om is the best name of Ishwar. Refer Yoga Darshan 1.27-28
Om is made from three syllables – A (अ), U (उ), M (म्)
Now each of these syllables represent various characteristics of Ishwar or Allah or God or Supreme.
For example,
A represents vast, universal, worth being worshipped
U represents brilliant, minute, source, controller
M represents infinite, undying, knowledgeable, caring
These are just few examples. However in essence, Om summarizes essence of all other names of Ishwar.
Q: But how can A, U, M mean such things? It sounds so arbitrary!
A: To untrained mind, yes, it sounds very arbitrary. It is difficult to see a needle-hole while in a bumpy ride!
But this is the Vedic concept of origin of language:
To a mind in perfect tranquility, each pronunciation generates some feelings. During inception of civilization, Rishis characterized each such word (combination of pronunciations) to represent certain specific concepts.
The meanings for A, U, M are also derived from those feelings that each of these pronunciations produce in a tranquil mind.
An important note:
In fact this is how Vedas are to be interpreted. And this is the reason why most indologists fail to interpret Vedas correctly. One cannot understand Vedas until one is Yogi having perfect control over mind. Till we reach that level, we have to rely on other authoritative interpretations and logic.
Now since most people cannot have such control over mind, Rishis, classified some of the meanings of certain pronunciations in other texts like Nighantu. Based on this more coarser meanings of Vedic mantras were derived for less endowed people. Then they simplified them even further into simpler texts and so on. Most of us will have to use this texts, along with our own intellect to deduce the meaning of Vedic mantras. But while other texts provide clues to Vedas, Vedas themselves remain the ultimate benchmark that can be comprehended fully only in perfect state of tranquility. However the very process of trying to understand Vedas help us reach that level of mental capability. This forms the entire philosophy of studying and applying Vedas.
And that is why a reader of Vedas should be clear that Vedas can be understood only as per root essence of each word and possibly each syllable and not later day meanings. For example, ‘Go’ has the root essence of something that moves or provided progression. But fools try to interpret ‘Go’ in Vedic mantras to mean ‘cow’ everywhere and hence misinterpret Vedas. So Vedas demand understanding of root words, and ‘feeling’ the mantras rather than mechanical interpretations. And since its an evolutionary process for each of us, Vedic philosophy is quite liberal about those who believe in Vedas and to whatever extent as per Laws of Karma.
Q: Could you be more clear about this concept of meaning from pronunciation of each syllable in case of A U M? Give an example.
A: Clarity can come only with perfect tranquility of mind. But lets take an example to explain how different sounds evoke different feelings or meanings – ‘M’ denotes emotional and caring aspect of Paramatma/ Ishwar. And you would see that even among normal human beings, there is a strong common thread across almost all cultures when it comes to ‘caring love’. So the word to signify Mother in almost all languages and cultures has the sound of ‘M’. Some cultures use a close sibling ‘N’ which comes under the same family of sounds. This is the sound that most children utter first for physiological reasons and develop an emotional relation with. Ishwar’s language and His creation all go in sync.
Since this motherly love is one of the strongest emotions, we find it common across entire humanity in form of M. Same is case with other syllables which form part of Om.
Q: OK, I understand that Om has a great meaning. But why should I chant it?
A: Chanting of Om has several benefits – therapeutic, psychological and spiritual. Even if you don’t know the meaning of Om or are otherwise skeptic about it, you can still avail the therapeutic benefits from it. Some people stay away from Om considering that it belongs to a particular religion. But as we have seen, there is nothing religious about Om. It existed much before these new religions came into existence and is in any case part of all major cultures.
To deny oneself of benefit of Om simply because it existed before their religion emerged is akin to refusing to use one’s hands, legs, air, water, horses, vehicles, food items, medicines etc simply because these also existed before their religion emerged.
Further, there is nothing in the meaning and essence of Om that is against the definition of God/Ishwar/Allah in any religion. Thus one should not be hesitant in embracing ‘Om’.
Om is supposed to be the primordial sound of universe and its reverberations are the most natural experience for all souls. This Om through its reverberations forms the connect between us and the Supreme Entity. Buddhists call it Inevitable Laws of Nature designed to benefit us, and we call it Existent, Conscious, Blissful Ishwar.
Q: So what are the therapeutic or health benefits?
A: Om is a foolproof method to add healthy years to your life.
a. Chanting of Om several times would relax your entire body and regulate your hormonal system.
b. If you have disorders due to anxiety or worry, or you tend to lose temper, there can be no better remedy.
c. It acts like a detoxifying agent for entire body. If your environment is polluted, you MUST use it.
d. It strengthens heart and circulatory system.
e. It will make your digestion stronger.
f. It will bring youthfulness in body and face.
g. If you are tired and exhausted, it can serve as a great rejuvenator.
h. It can solve most worrisome sleep disturbance patterns, in case you suffer from it. You would wake up alert from sleep if you practice it in night.
i. It strengthens your lungs with some practice.

Q: What are psychological benefits of Om?
A: Om can become a life changing experience:
a. It can make you much more relaxed to face the world around comfortably.
b. It can help you control your anger and frustration. If you have been chanting Om regularly, it is unlikely that you get angry.
c. It can help you be in resonance with nature. Thus you would find yourself much more intuitive and in control of things. Your gut feel will become much higher.
d. Your interpersonal relationships will improve. You would be able to develop rapport with people much better and make friends from enemies.
e. You will find life much more meaningful and purposeful and carry that natural smile.
f. You will find a jump in your enthusiasm and activity level. Your alertness would increase.
g. You can never feel depressed if you are into Om therapy.
h. If you have a friend suffering from depression and having suicidal thoughts, make him read this article and Gayatri Mantra therapy. Soon all depressing thoughts will vanish away.
Q: What are spiritual benefits of Om?
A: Meditation upon Om is the best spiritual exercise on earth.
a. It helps you develop emotional connect with Ishwar and realize your relation with Ishwar.
b. It helps you realize your purpose in life and how Ishwar is helping you.
c. It helps you realize your identity beyond this temporary hustle-bustle of the world around and develops a sense of how to make best use of this world for the bigger goal.
d. It provides a sense of security that is unmatched. You realize how you are constantly under protection of Ishwar every moment.
e. It helps you feel the Law of Karma and how each thought of yours is shaping the next moment of life and how Ishwar is managing this Law of Karma meticulously for your benefit alone. You understand why and how Ishwar is just and compassionate at the same time. How in his justice alone lies his pardon! How he loves you! How he is caring for you! How he is pampering you!
Q: How to derive these benefits? What is the method of Om therapy?
A: The complete therapy would be detailed and require separate coverage. Also, depending upon individual stage and requirements, it can be customized. After all its not a mechanical exercise but a direct one-to-one interaction between you and He, without any other entity in between.
But here is a standard procedure:
1. Sit down with backbone straight in a position where you need not worry about bodily discomfort. If you are unwell, you can do it lying down. But otherwise, always prefer to be seated. Close your eyes. Take some relaxed deep breaths to release any body tensions.
2. Four times are best for Om therapy – one immediately after waking up, one after morning cleansing, one in evening during sunset and finally before sleep. You can also do it when you have nothing else to do better – traveling in a bus (make sure you are not driving!), waiting for someone, feeling the need to get rid of negative emotions or having the relaxed morning walk in park. (Though make sure you are not into something that demands alertness)
3. Listen to the method of chant as provided in audio in beginning of article. You can prolong the duration of each chant depending on your comfort. In general, longer the better but if done with comfort.
4. Now do at least 3-5 chants each time. If chanting loud is an issue, you can do it silently.
5. During each chant, FEEL the Ishwar and his love around. Keep a slight smile and flow into the reverberations of the sound inside. This is not the time to think about Ishwar but to FEEL the Ishwar. We want to work at emotional level and not at logical level right now. (Rest of the day is for logic and if that be insufficient, we have enough material to counter and debate at Agniveer.com and hone these skills 🙂 )
6. Continue the vocal chants as long as you enjoy, and then start chanting silently. You can also focus on rhythmic breath patterns for some time. Then you can switch to Gayatri Therapy and then again switch to silent Om Therapy.
7. After you have completed all this, you can switch to Shanti Mantra and conclude. Shanti Mantra basically prays for peace everywhere.
8. After this, if you wish you can continue this meditative stage as long you enjoy and pray to Ishwar in whatever way you desire or whatever name you want to take with a thankful attitude. If you are an atheist, you can replace thought of Ishwar with sense of comfort and peace (Its one and same with difference in semantics alone)

I have just shared a trade secret in plain simple terms that otherwise has become a multi-billion dollar industry and bread and butter of many a self-help gurus! Only that this would be much more practical and effective! And that it has been provided without redundant jargon and packaging!
Q: But I am a Muslim and you abuse Muslims on your site. Why should I follow what you say?
A:
1. As I said there is nothing Hindu, Muslim or Christian about Om or Gayatri Mantra. Do you refuse to eat mangoes because it is not mentioned in Quran? The only things that a Muslim is prohibited from is what goes against Quran. But there is nothing in Om or Gayatri that is against any theist or even atheist belief.
2. What you are referring to as abuses to Muslims is merely an intellectual debate on books and has nothing to do with being insulting to anyone. Do you refuse to have food from mother merely because you have different viewpoints? One should never mix intellectual differences with emotional bonding.
3. See, despite whatever we may have written that you may have objections to, we still openly claim to be proud of calling ourselves ‘Muslim’ because it has a great meaning. We proudly hail Genius Muhammad as our role model. And we proudly sit in Vajrasana which is nothing but Namaaz position because it is good for digestion and general health. Thus while we may differ, we are still one family!
4. Even if you hate us, why should you refuse to take benefits from Om Therapy? Do you refuse to receive your father’s letter because you do not like the postman? Agniveer is just a postman – a carrier. So even if you hate us, you should not stop yourself from imbibing good things that are compliant even with your own interpretation of Islam.
5. See, all these debates are superficial and merely tools to explore true wisdom. We may have different beliefs due to our different experiences in life and we should definitely discuss and debate to learn from each other. But beyond all these debates and arguments, which even get hot at times, we are still humans. And to love fellow beings is our innate nature – gift of Ishwar. After all we are one single family! But why prohibit yourself from deriving benefits from something which is neither Agniveer’s copyright, nor against Islam, nor can do any harm at all? Good things should be imbibed even from enemies!
6. So let us keep our intellectual differences aside, use other forums to sort those out. And if you are too angry with our other posts, feel free to scold or abuse us to your heart’s content through comments. We shall not delete them. But please make best use of Om Therapy. It can change your life!

Q: I still have a doubt. In a world demanding actions, how can chanting do wonders? Is this not an escape mechanism to run away from challenges of life?
A:
1. Any form of meditation or Om therapy or whatever is not a replacement for rest of the duties of life. It is on contrary a catalyst to increase the efficiency of our overall life. Thus one is not expected to run away from duties and chant Om. On contrary, one is supposed to do it for a limited period of time in general. It won’t take more than 15-20 minutes in entire day if you do it 4 times. You can increase the duration for specific objectives.
2. Chanting is nothing but a commitment. Its a promise you give to Ishwar/ Allah or God that you would cooperate with Him. That you would justify all his caring and love showered upon you. That you would try to imbibe the qualities that are expected from you. That you would try to emulate Ishwar in those qualities where you can – justice, compassion, discipline, consistency etc.
Chanting in this manner is a commitment at subconscious level. And hence it works! Those who chant with this overall theme, derive the best benefits.
However those who chant even mechanically would at least derive the health benefits. Even if you don’t believe in benefits of desi cow’s milk, it would still benefit you if you consume. Same is the case here. But when done with FEELINGS, benefits multiply!
Q: There are some more doubts. How do I address them?
A: Proof of the pudding is in the eating. Simply practice for a month and all doubts would be dissolved. All articulate sounds are produced in the space within the mouth beginning with the root of the tongue and ending in the lips — the throat sound is A, and M is the last lip sound, and the U exactly represents the rolling forward of the impulse which begins at the root of the tongue till it ends in the lips. Symbols are used only to communicate when verbal communication cant work. For example I need to write in comments and send you my message because whatever I will speak will not reach you. Also what I speak now wont be listened by others the next moment!
So symbols/scripts have the utility to preserve the communications both along space and time. So in my opinion, symbols dont matter much in Vedas. As you know, Vedas are called ‘Shruti’ that means ‘to be heard’. From here too, it looks that Vedas are Shabdas (specific sounds) that are LISTENED/thought upon and we represent these sounds with different symbols in different scripts for our convenience.
Om is evil. Just listen to Dr.Ravi Zacharias the greatest apologetics of today on youtube. He is from a brahmin family. Higher philosophies of spirituality and the truth.

Not only do Christians consider everything not Christian to be evil and demonic they also think other Christian sects are leading people to hell and only their Christian sect will get people into heaven. Many Protestants consider the Catholic Pope to literally be the Anti-Christ. So remember Christians expect other Christians to be following the anti-christ and go to hell, so don’t expect them to think your non-Christian religion to fare any better.
Faith is the substance of our belief in what is unseen. Shraddha is believing in what you see. The images and idols made by skilled labour are your gods. Christianity is the fulfillment of judaism. Mac perfectly illustrates the narrow minded and bigoted mentality of the typical Christian who not merely disagrees with all other religions but goes to the extreme to paint them as evil, and demonic. That is not the nature of all other religions of the world but reflection of the nature of Christianity (and Islam which is an offshoot of Christianity). When Christians speak like Mac they do not expose what other religions are but what intrinsically hate filled Christianity is towards all other religions. It is good that Christians like Mac expose themselves themselves here so we can all see their bigoted mentality that Christianity teaches them.

I heard from Asharam Bapu that Om is very powerful mantra. It is not suitable for householder because it transcends the mind to Brahman so the day to day job could be hampered. So, he advised to keep it limited to 7-10. Basically he means to say that the chanting leads to renunciation. He gave examples of Swami Rama Tirtha, who only chanted Om and achieved a very supreme spiritual state.
Even i heard from one maharaj that even chanting Om Namah Shivay is not good, only say Om at first time and then repeat Namah Shivay, last just say Om Namah Shivay.

If one meditates too much leaving his duties aside, he is bound to become an escapist. This is NOT renunciation. But when one meditates to fulfill his higher goals through mundane actions, he becomes a Karma Yogi like Krishna.
Renunciation does not mean running away or getting bored with worldly actions. It means doing these worldly tasks without getting attached to them and solely for the ultimate mission. A true Sanyasi is one who is into constant action for welfare of world and not one who sits idly in illusion of practicing meditation.

Om consists of Akar, Ukar and Makara sounds
In Amen or Aamin, ukara sound is not there at all. Therefore, Christians and muslims are not “Om” compliant.
Shalom means peace. Yerushalim/Jerusalem means City of Peace. The temple of the only Living God built by King Solomon was in Jerusalem. Amen means “it is finished” or “so it be done”. Jesus’ last words on the cross were: IT IS FINISHED. The law is fulfilled and put aside, now no more sacrifices. Jesus is the end of the law. Romans 2:12-13 All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law. For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God’s sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous. Grace is the unmerited favor of God. Romans 3:23-24 tells us, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.” We have all sinned. We all deserve to be punished throughout all eternity for our sins, but Christ Jesus has already taken our punishment. God, by his grace, that is His unmerited favor toward us, can now be just in saving us, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. Our redemption is in Christ Jesus, and not in ourselves.
In Ephesians 2:8-9 we read, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” We are saved by the unmerited favor of God through our obedient faith. There is no way that anyone could ever be good enough to go to heaven, because we have all sinned. We all deserve to be punished eternally. There is no way that anyone could ever earn his way to heaven, because heaven will be a gift of God for those who go there.
Our Lord says in Luke 17:10, “So likewise you, when you have done all those things which you are commanded, say, We are unprofitable servants. We have done what was our duty to do.” We cannot do enough to earn our salvation. We read in Isaiah 64:6, “But we are all like an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags.” There is no one of us that deserves to be saved. It is only by the grace of God that anyone will be saved.
Shalom means peace, and Yerushalim/Jerusalem means City of Peace, and peace is elusive in the city of peace. What an irony!

It is really perplexing that an advanced civilization (if at all there was one) that existed before Noah’s Flood could not save itself from the vagaries of nature. The study of the Persepolis tablets has yielded much information about important figures like Darius and Parnaka yet crucial data remains unknown due to improper prognosis. Even a meticulous scholar like Hallock failed to note the echo of Rama in the name Ramanuya. The name of the Mitannian king Tushratta echoes Dasharatha, Rama’s father. Chedor La’omer of Genesis 14 corresponds to Kudur Laghumar of the Babylonian texts and Raghupati was Rama’s name.
Rama’s presence in the Indus-Saraswati area is unattested although the frequent symbol of the bow-man in the seals may, in fact, stand for Rama. Post-Islamic Iran also ignores him although his name may be hidden in the many Ram-names like Ramadan, Ram-allah etc.
Fortunately, the Sumerian texts provide priceless data about Rama. The Sumerian king-lists show that Rama was the same as Ram-Sin of Larsa (~18th cent. B.C.) who ruled Sumer, Elam, and Indus Saraswati. Although Ram-Sin was deified and his memorial has been found at Ur, Iraq, his relics are unknown from Elam, said to be his homeland. Rim-Sin (also called Ram-Sin) was the longest ruling monarch (60 years) of Sumer. Ram-Sin’s reign is termed the golden era of Sumer by the great Assyriologist C. J. Gadd. Ram-Sin is called an Elamite in the Sumerian texts.
Khotanese literature, which is almost exclusively Buddhist, describes Rama as a Buddhist hero. Imagining the Buddhists to be from Nepal and Rama from Ayodhya in U. P., the eminent linguist Sir Harold Bailey discounted the Buddhist claim that Rama was one of their own. A careful study, however, shows this suspicion to be misplaced.
The Buddhist sources trace the genealogy to the primeval Maha Sammata (Maha=great) which agrees with Shem, father of Elam in the Old Testament. This shows the basic unity of the Indian, Elamite and the Judaic traditions. Even if Rama is relatively unknown, the names of his half-brothers Shatrughna and Bharata are radiant ones in Elamite history.
The Buddhists traced their genealogy to Okkaka, said to be an ancestor of both the Sakyas and the Kollians. Okkaka is a transform of Ukshaka which is the same as Ukshaman or Achaemenian. According to Buddhaghosa, there were three dynasties with Okkaka at the head of each, all of whom were lineal descendants of the primeval king Maha Sammata or Great Sammata. This may correspond to the three wives of Dasharatha. Bardiya and Cyrus may have been the offsprings of Bharata (Warad-Sin), brother of Rama. Toynbee noted that Cyrus (Kurash) may have been linked to the Indian Kurus. The Achaemen-ids seem to be linked to Gotama as his relative Bhaddia is clearly Bardiya. Gaumata of the famous Behistun record can be seen to be Gotama and both Darius-I and Gaumata were known as Sphendadates.
Part of the Rama Story is submerged in the Rostam Saga. Like Rama in India, the greatest Iranian hero was Rostam, immortalized in the Shahnama, about whose history little is known. There are traces of the Rama story in the Rostam saga which may have been emended by Surena, who defeated the Romans in the crucial battle at Carrhae and displaced Rama as the mightiest Iranian hero. His personal name is not known but his link with Rama is written in the name of Ram Sahristan, his capital in Seistan. Just as in the Rostam-Sohrab story, Rama’s sons fought with him, unaware that he was their father.
The late Babylonian texts indicate that another name of Rama was Rostam. Rostam’s early name was Rotastahm which echoes the names Dasharatha and Dharma (Durma-Ilani) of Rama’s father. Naqs-i Rostam can also be read as Naqs-i Rama.
Rama ruled Indus-Saraswati, Iran and Sumer. He was also an ancestor of Gotama Buddha and the Achaemenian kings. I. M. Diakonoff and D. McAlpin have pointed to a link of Elamite with Dravidian but the links between Elamite and Indian civilization also extend to history. Although Rama is usually thought to be an Aryan, he was called Elamite and in Indian art he is usually painted in Blue, whereas his brother Lakshmana and wife Sita are shown as light-skinned. Your contentions raises a slew of questions. If randomness and arbitrariness is the thumb rule of creation, then why the hullabaloo over morality? Genesis and the other 4 books of Torah were written by Moses and given by God. It is the most codefied book of all and very symbolic. All the prophets, books of wisdom, gospel and epistels references the Torah. Torah also references so many other external historical books maintained since the time of Enoch. To study Torah and Prophets in Talmud just one time, it takes 14 straight years. To discourse on Genesis is not a small thing. Besides the old hebrew, the first language and mother of all languages mentions all plantes also as stars, it mentions pleides, orion, constellations, etc. People’s language was hebrew before God divided it at babylon. Chinese pyramids found in Xi’an, on the Qin Chuan Plains in Shaanxi Province are ancient mausoleums and burial mounds built to house the remains of several early emperors of China and their imperial relatives. were under the whole heaven, were covered. 20 Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered. From these verses many say the Flood was worldwide, and that the tops of the highest mountains (about 29,000 feet) were covered with 15 cubits (about 22 feet) of water. This means the water level would have been five miles above the present sea level. The water pressure would have been about 800 tons per square inch. Ten months of this pressure, along with a lack of light and mixture of salt water, would
have destroyed all plant life and seeds on the planet. The entire life cycle, which depends on plants, would have ended, yet the animals released obviously found vegetation to eat. Further thought requires us to ask where did all of this water come from to cover all
the mountains on the planet? About 97.2% of all the water on earth, according to the United States Geological Survey, currently resides in the oceans. The remainder of the
earth’s water is in the lakes, rivers, glaciers, polar ice caps,underground water, and atmospheric moisture. All of this water could not cover the face of the earth. If all the atmospheric moisture fell abruptly in a continuous worldwide rainfall, the level of the oceans would rise less than five centimetres; and if, at the same time,all the glaciers (and polar caps) in the world melted (as they did many times in thepast), sea level would rise only about sixty meters, barely enough to drown low coastal plains. There thus does not exist the water for a universal flood to occur. The total volume of
water that exists on earth (and has for millions of years) is 1,359,843,000 cubickilometres. If all of this water were to abruptly fall in a continuous worldwide rainfall,

continually until the tenth month,” at which time some land could be seen (Gen. 8:5).This covers about 74 days. After another 54 days “the waters were abated from off
the earth” (Gen. 8:11), and in another 36 days “the face of the ground was dry” (Gen. 8:13). It thus took only 164 days from the time the flooding ended for the water to
recede and the ground to become dry. Clearly the waters of Noah’s Flood could only recede or “abate from off the earth” if it were a localized flood on the earth. Here we have all the evidence needed to prove that a universal flood did not occur, for if water covered the globe so that all of its mountains were covered, then where did
the waters recede to? Did all of this water just evaporate into outer space? Water covering the entire planet could never drain off anywhere and give us dry ground in
only 164 days. Not even in 100years or a 1000 years could this have happened. If such a worldwide flood did exist the water could never have drained off or evaporated—the earth would forever be water-covered, or a frozen ball of ice. The only reason the waters were able to recede from the land is because the Flood was confined to a limited area. Thus, the Flood was not of the worldwide magnitudecreationists claim it was.
In the Garden of Eden, God use to water the plants thru heavy mist. But when the Watchers (fallen angels) came, they used some irrigation techniques and built mammoth buildings, which archeology proves. Noah’s time is the first time the rain fell.
Most of the water for the great Flood of Noah came from the so-called “fountains of the great deep” (Gen 7:11). This source of water is mentioned before the rain from the “windows of heaven.”
During the formation of the earth on the second and third days of creation, large quantities of water were evidently placed between the earth’s crust and mantle in what might be called giant subterranean reservoirs. This water was probably under high pressure to begin with (causing artesian springs and geysers to abound), but after the fall of man and the angels-when some of the heavier atomic elements were apparently made unstable by reduced nuclear binding forces so that radioactive decay commenced – the shorter-lived isotopes could well have heated the subsurface to a point of criticality where it could scarcely be contained by the strength of the overlying crust. We mentioned this in last month’s article as a possible cause for the explosion of a planet where the asteroid belt now is found.
Extensive volcanic activity may have occurred at the same time-the fountains of the great deep were thus broken open and volcanic ash hurtling into the stratosphere could have collapsed the vapor canopy by dispersing condensation nuclei around which raindrops formed.
Incidentally, gravitational compaction of the earth at the time of earth’s formation would not have raised the interior temperature above 1000 degrees C, yet the earth’s core-present temperature about 4300 degrees-has evidently melted and overturned in the past. Radioactive heating is believed to have supplied the extra energy needed.

The Hebrew language has several words to describe ordinary floods, but Genesis 7-11 uses the unique word mabbul (found only elsewhere in Psalm 29:10). When Hebrew scholars put the Old Testament into Greek, they chose the Greek word kataklusmos, from the verb “to inundate,” in place of the Hebrew mabbul. But the present heavens and earth by His Word are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men…” (2 Peter 2:4-5, 3:3-7)
Noah and his sons (and perhaps some hired hands) probably had less than 76 years to build the Ark in which Noah’s family and selected animals were to find refuge from the Flood. We know the size of the Ark from Genesis 6:14-16, and many fine books have been written in recent years analyzing the design and adequacies of this great barge. The Ark is said to have landed on the Mountains of Ararat in Eastern Turkey after the Flood. Many amazing search expeditions have been launched in our century, though all have thus far been inconclusive.
There would be no need to labor many decades building a boat to escape a local flood-simple flight to the next valley or to a nearby mountain would have sufficed. Nor would a local flood require such an elaborate plan to save representative animal species.
Noah escaped not because he was blameless (justified by his faith as we are), but because he (and his family) responded to God’s mercy and grace. A good many other individuals who lived in the 1655-2255 years between Adam and Noah no doubt responded to the gospel preached by Adam, by Enoch, and by others who knew the Lord. But by the time of the Flood, apparently the entire “civilized” world had become totally unresponsive to the offer of God’s free salvation. Crazy Noah kept on building his weird boat on dry land-far from the ocean-in a country where it never rained! He probably endured constant mocking, scorn and ridicule up until the end. The Ark finally landed on the very same day of the Hebrew calendar that Jesus Christ would be raised from the dead about three millennia later in history, taking into account the calendar change in Exodus 12. The subterranean caverns of the great deep collapsed, so that the waters receded into what are now our deep ocean basins.
With the tremendous weight of water removed from the land, isostatic rebound allowed great mountains, capped with sediments, to “float” up on the underlying mantle below the crust. (Mountains before the Flood were most likely much lower than they are now.) Seeds sprouted, life began again, and Noah and his family left the Ark to repopulate the earth under a new covenant with God (Gen 8:18-9:17). Four men and four women, who knew and loved the living God personally, began to repopulate the earth. They started with only meager resources and animals from the Ark – plus the bountiful grace of God

After the Flood
The post-Flood climate was now very different – assuming the collapse of the vapor canopy. An ice-age followed. Earth’s original one continent broke up and spread apart (rapid continental drift)- either during the Flood-or as some believe during the days of Peleg, perhaps 100-600 years later. The dinosaurs, once contemporary with men, rapidly died out, quite possibly from a separate disaster not long after the Flood. Storms, natural disasters and great seasonal weather changes set in during the years immediately following the Flood as well.

You are too curious. Not every minute details are available and it was written in hebrew, it do not give any scientific terminology or details. Genesis 1 deals with the part of physical creation. It tells you what He created on which day. In fact, He created everything from nothing, ZERO.

In the beginning of the physical creation from waters, there were two into existence viz. God and the Word of God, who was God (John 1:1). God commanded Him to separate the waters from the waters and He did and called it expanse. In this expanse He created all physical creation, everything stars, moons, sun and earth. We only know that all stars and planets are made up of dust and gases. To mankind whatever God has disclosed is all written in symbols. God is outside of the time and space. Three heavens, the top where God sits above the upper waters, it is made of all spiritual world. Second heaven is where He created or stationed stars and planets. Third heaven is our atmosphere.
What God did before creation? Is a stupid question because it will keep going on and on in circular reasoning. It all starts from IN THE BEGINNING. It only states that man (Adam) was created from the dust of the earth, it do not tell us how God formed the dust of the earth.

Abraham grasped that just as all this applies on the level of the microcosm — individual human thought and action — so it must apply on the level of the macrocosm as well. The physical “actions” manifest in the creation all around us are outward expressions of meaningful Divine intentions. Just as human thoughts and intentions are expressed in letters, the building blocks of words, so too are the thoughts and intentions of God. The fundamental building blocks of the creation are the twenty-two letters of the Hebrew alphabet.
The entire creation is a communication from God to man. The universe is thus a SePheR (“book”): the “book” is the medium through which the communication is made. The book has its SoPheR, the Writer. He is both source of the actual “book” and Author of the message of the book, which is the SiPPuR, the “story.”
The entire SiPPuR or “story” comes about because underlying forces emanating from God begin to interact with one another to bring about the Creation. These fundamental forces are the SePhiRot, the root spiritual forces underlying all creation, spiritual and physical. The power of the Sephirot radiates to the creation through the twenty-two letters of the Hebrew alphabet. These are the building blocks of creation. Innumerable different combinations of letters govern the structure and functioning of all of the different aspects of creation.
The underlying spiritual structure or essence of anything is in Hebrew called its TzuRa, “form” — as opposed to its ChoMeR, “substance”. Thus the potter takes primal, formless matter — clay — and shapes it into a vessel having form, purpose and utility. God struck His Covenant with Abraham and commanded him to cut the sign of the Covenant into his very flesh by removing the foreskin of the membrum (Genesis 17, 1-27). Circumcision is a sign of our willingness to control our innate materialism and selfishness in order to elevate ourselves so as to become co-creators with God. On the physical level this includes curbing the sexual urge and elevating it in order to bring pure, holy children into the world so as to bring humanity to its destiny.

in their interpretation of Scripture creationists have to say that all species of animal life
were brought on the Ark. This includes dinosaurs, sabre-toothed tigers, mammoths,

all living things on the Ark: And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female. 13 Of all species of life that have ever existed upon the earth 99 percent are now extinct.
With about 1.5 million species living today we can conclude that 150 million species have existed with about 148 million that have become extinct. 14 We now have an exceedingly larger number of animals to fit on the Ark than just the animals we have
today. To help remedy this problem some have said that “larger animals such as dinosaurs could be represented on this boat by young dinosaurs.” 15 This does not help much in making room for all these animals nor does it explain how or why these
animals became extinct. It would absolutely make no sense to bring all these life forms
on the Ark if 99% of them were to die anyway! After all, the purpose of doing so was
preserve these animals, or “to keep them alive” (Gen. 6:19). These obvious problems have led most creationists to now say that the Flood was
responsible for the extinction of all species, such as dinosaurs, which are represented in the fossil record. Since they became extinct by the Flood then that tells us that they were not on the Ark. This again raises the question of why did Noah fail to bring all of the animals on the ark as commanded? If the Flood was the cause of their extinction
we have to conclude that Noah was in gross disobedience to God’s command by
leaving 99 percent of the living things out of the Ark allowing them to become extinct. But the Bible says that “Noah did according to all that God commanded him” (Genesis
6:22). So Noah was not in gross disobedience to God’s command. The only other
conclusion is that the creationists are dead wrong about the age of the earth, the
extinction of species by the Flood, and their universal flood concept. Palaeontology tells
us that the vast majority of living things became extinct millions of years before Noah’s time.16 The testimony of Scripture and science allows us to conclude that the creationists are dead wrong. There was no mass extinction of living things only a few
thousand years ago by a worldwide flood. If creationists still want to believe Genesis speaks of a worldwide flood, then Noah
would still have been required to bring a sample of each species now living into the
Ark. Could such a feat be accomplished given the number of species and the size of the
Ark? In Genesis 6, God specified to Noah the size of the Ark: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.17 With a cubit being about 18 inches long, the ark would be about 450 feet long, 75 feet
wide, and 45 feet high. Further, the Ark was to have three “stories” or decks. The total
volume of the Ark would have been about 1.5 million cubic feet. However, the space available assumes every cubic inch of space is utilized which is far
from practical. There would need to be space to get at the animals to feed them and for
head room, breathing room or ventilation, naturally wasted or unused space would
exist, exercise space would be needed, etc. Also the decks and beams would consume
space. We thus could conservatively reduce the available space on the ark by one fifth
giving about 1.2 million cubic feet of usable storage space. Noah was commanded to bring “two” of every animal and “creeping thing” into the
ark, but of “every clean beast,” and of the “fowls of the air” he was to bring in by “sevens” (Gen. 7:2-3).18 There currently exists 200,000 species of animals, over 900,000 species of insects, and about 450,000 species of plants.19 We could estimate the number of “clean” animals along with all the birds to be about one sixth of the
animals or 33,000 in number. Thus Noah would have needed room for 231,000 “clean”
animals (7 x 33,000), 334,000 unclean animals (2 x 167,000), and 1,800,000 insects (2
x 900,000). A squirrel or rabbit would need about 3 cubic feet of space. As for an elephant, it
would need about 1400 cubic feet of space. A turkey would need about 9 cubic feet, a
15 foot crocodile and a 600 lb. gorilla each require over 140 cubic feet of space. A fox
would take up about 10 cubic feet, a lion 120, and a 20 foot tall giraffe would require
900 cubic feet of space. We could justly figure 10 cubic feet of space per animal on the
average, and about .05 cubic foot of space for insects (this would also include the space needed for their stalls, cages, containers, etc.). We have to also consider food for the animals which God told Noah to bring on the
Ark (Gen. 6:21). Since Noah and the animals were in the Ark just over a year, there
would have to be storage space for one year’s supply of food. On the average, a
person can eat about 1300 pounds of food a year which is about 7 times his weight in
food. An elephant can eat about 60,000 lbs. of food a year which is 7 to 8 times its
weight. The average ox or cow can consume about 24,000 lbs. of food a year which is about 14 times its weight. One wolf can eat a sheep a week or 52 sheep a year which
is about 20 times its weight while a lion can eat about 35 times its weight. A shrew
can eat several hundred times its weight in a year. Since the weight of many types of
food, such as hay, is less dense than body weight they would occupy much more
space. It would be more than fair then to consider 8 times the space needed on the
average for food storage for each animal and insect. Noah would have needed at least 43 arks to accomplish the job of storing all the
animals and their required food. This, of course, does not take into consideration the
food needed to keep the animals alive (such as sheep) for the meat eaters (such as
wolves). It does not consider plants, most of which could never survive a worldwide
flood. It does not consider reproduction of animals. It does not consider water for drinking and bathing. Nor does it consider all the species that have become extinct
since Noah’s time. The need for 100 Arks would be a more likely figure. We also must consider the impossible task of Noah gathering every species of animal,
marine life, insect, bird, plant, and microbe from every corner of the planet, and then
somehow redistributing them back to their original habitat. It is a task which all the
modern zoos with all their trained keepers and explorers could not accomplish. Further,
many animals require a specific climate and habitat in which to live. The polar bear and
penguin of the arctic cannot live in the same environment as a hippopotamus and chimpanzee of the tropics. How could all of these animals survive together on an ark or
on the mountain side where the Ark landed? The environment of the Ark could not
have been suitable for all species of animals and plants. Such problems were never encountered since Noah never collected specimens from all
over the globe. He collected only those animals which were in the area he lived and
where the Flood occurred. This obviously was done so as not to create an ecological
void in that part of the earth. We have to either consider this to be the case or face the
insurmountable problems associated with a universal flood. All zoological evidence
shown here and much more all prove there was no universal flood.

Why are you mixing up religion and science? What has science to do with religion? Religion is about faith and morality of the faith. Does science have morality? No, science only deals with the proven facts of the set of law(s) as mankind discovered and proved it. Science is also the creation of God. The theories developed by Einstein have great impact on modern science which is able to defy the nature and uplift the humanity to a greater extend. According to Hinduism, the purpose of human life is upliftment of soul and it’s travel towards the realization of its nature. The person who can do it is Devine and looked upon as a god..apart from that you can term Einstein as god of physics!! Agree that he was unfair to his wife and was not able to take care of his won family., But his devotion to his great work in physics will nullify all his shortcomings!!

In 2000, researchers led by Human Genome Project Director Francis Collins completed the first full “sequence” of human genetic material, prompting much debate over what such material might be used for. The issue of bioethics remains as potent today as it was then, most visibly with the controversial issue of stem cell research. The following piece was originally published in 2000.
There are sure to be many who read with trepidation this morning’s news that researchers have completed the first “sequence” of human genetic material. Some will ask, isn’t this playing God? Some will fear that the work is the effort of scientists determined to disprove the existence of a higher power. Interesting, then, that Francis Collins, a molecular biologist who is head of the National Human Genome Research Institute, the federal government part of the sequencing project, is a devout Christian and a leading member of the American Scientific Affiliation, the 3,000-member organization for scientists who are actively religious.
Collins once told me, “I find my appreciation of science is greatly enriched by religion. When I discover something about the human genome, I experience a sense of awe at the mystery of life, and say to myself, ‘Wow, only God knew before.’ It is a profoundly beautiful and moving sensation, which helps me appreciate God and makes science even more rewarding for me.” Collins first became prominent when he led the team that discovered the gene for cystic fibrosis. As both an active Christian and a prominent biologist, he is perhaps today’s leading exponent for the view that there is no conflict between evolutionary biology and the Bible. Collins winces on the word creationism, asserting that “Creationism has done more harm to serious notions of belief than anything in modern history.” He maintains that the evidence for natural selection is overwhelming, but that this need not stop anyone from believing that a creator God set the process in motion.
Collins, who prays and attends church regularly, says that “In my field, biology, the standard assumption is that anyone with faith has gone soft in the head. But I don’t check my brains at the door when I go to church.” He finds that many scientists are biased against faith–“When a scientist describes himself as a believer, the first reaction among colleagues may be, ‘How did this guy get tenure?'”–essentially for turf reasons. “Scientists are taught to believe that the data will eventually yield all answers,” Collins says. “So if you tell them there are important aspects of life that cannot be understood through lab tests or data, that means their form of knowledge will always be limited, and some find that threatening.”
Collins believes that the human genome sequence will add greatly to medical progress but cautions against reading too much into it. He says, “I especially worry about this galloping stampede to reductionism in my field, where the rush is on to attribute everything, even personality traits, to DNA. This is patently ridiculous. Reductionist explanations of human consciousness fly in the face of everything else we know about the subject.” (“Reductionism” means attributing complex results, such as human self-awareness, exclusively to simple causes, such as DNA chemicals.)
Summing up his views of the boundary between science and faith, Collins says, “I would not expect religion to be the right tool for sequencing the human genome and by the same token would not expect science to be the means to approaching the supernatural. But on the really interesting larger questions, such as ‘Why are we here?’ or ‘Why do human beings long for spirituality?,’ I find science unsatisfactory. Many superstitions have come into existence and then faded away. Faith has not, which suggests it has reality.”

Scientists are materialists and that is block. Block for them to understand that soul is not something that body created or developed from the endings of nerves. Materialists think that body, DNA, Acashic records, body evolution (darwin) developed higher consiousness. This is wrong thinking. Why not to follow Creator, realize that all this mater is given by mercy for our iliusionary experience to allow us to realize what is mater, what is soul and quickly to jump to serve Him and only Him with every minute, thought, flower. However those who have too many karmic mental concoctions to see Creator clear, those who have desires now reacting out via our behaviour showing up, those are angry on Creator and go to lab to worship particles, test, DNA research assumptions, Higgs bosson and etc. why? Because they do not believe in Creator, they think they can do better, even they believe in Him, they come close to realizing Him, but they they they I do want to do better that Him. This is demonic and here comes all kinds of religions to create laws to explain God. Krishna is in us, Vedas by practising starts to reveal self evidence vedic knowledge in us, pure, honest, humble souls start the purifying process with the moments of cry while relealing past lifes memories are comming out, yogis and pure humble devotees start to remember and see and realize who they are, who they were in many previous lifes, all about planets, some even travel to other planest, some start be able to just see a book and know know already what is in it. some experience what and how time is working, what is time and what is space. Finally what is illiusion becomes realized and understood. Finally we learn that soul never dies, but clear vision with our poor senses lies to us that we are mortal, because ego has a tendency to own, ego desires to own this body, car, county, planet and constantly identifies self wrongly, keeps projecting thought and it is spiritual suicide. Any scientific explanation, projection, assumption is giving more iliusion more misguiding people to explore, to go to mars which is the material mode of passion way straight to hell. So scientists are killing planet, killing human self realization path. There are metaphisicists, gnostic mental locks who are very dangerous to humans to realize who they are. Those scientists are atheists because they are not absorbed in Krishnas consciousness constantly to receive knowledge full rememberence of universes egzistance, creation of mater and spiritual world, experiencing how God is right there next to you. Spiritual activities are not effected by time. Time is given to living entity, with material body death, time ends for a living entity. This is hard to realize that we each of us have powers to get out of mater and experience full bliss and knowledge while shrinking time or knowing all past and future. Powers start to come back but with constant being in this God Krishna consciousness. Now why scientists are not truth full and not teaching that we are not this body?? Because they are bastards and they care only to keep misleading humans to elevate to higher consciousness and guide towards Krishna, they create and support and follow established modern education system for bastards and keep educating the external manifestation research. To keep them atheists and keep them in material maya illiusion. We do not need to know and hear and be educated to enjoy physically and mentally the man mental speculations. All religions are human creation to describe God by their abilities to describe (some do it in lab). Our goal is to be happy and blissful and Krishna if called His name with humble heart, He comes and arranges time, events, food, experiences for a person. Why not to take advantage in realization and receive gifts from Krishna daily? Demons do hate Creator, do not know Him, so try to find in labs or mars. Please read about previous Yugas and personalities the most purest achievements, read about their consciousness, life spam, abilities, puriness, activities, realization as soul levels, memory and Vedic word sound Power they used. Brother, it depends upon the level of connect and emotions you generate. If you go by counting, you lose the purpose of it. You should get lost into it and enjoy it. If mind starts getting distracted, stretch a bit more. And when it starts behaving like a violent monkey, let go. Then do it again next day or after some time. Please note that a meditation done at expense of work duties will be fruitless. Because meditation is supposed to inspire you into more efficient actions.
In general, don;t go beyond 2 hours for meditation in a day, in normal routine.

Shiva is one of the many names of God. Shiva means Kalyan. In English, perhaps bliss may be an approximate meaning. Since God provides bliss, He is Shiva.
The trishul carrying living god has 2 interpretations. Some scholars say that it refers to Shankar – a historical person – indeed a noble one – who used to be ruler of Himalayan territory with headquarters in Kailash. His yogic way made people respect him and later they started considering him God. Others say that this conceptualization of God as a trishul carrying, mendicant is symbolic of God as well as a wonderful yogi. Someone who does not care about dress, is strong enough to fight, drinks happily poison of the world, is always in meditation, has moon on head. Basically someone who is yogi by choice and not compulsion, and unaffected by worldly things.
But if you talk of God, He is One and Only One, formless, timeless, omnipresent. And He remains so always.
